2.95 era last year, not good enough for you? How many side armers reside in the AL Central?
Plus you guys held onto Alex Colome when everyone wanted to trade for him last year.
You guys are stacking
i guess cishek just doesn't pass the eye test. i saw that guy blow a ton of close games for you last year. didn't know his numbers were that low. i do love that we kept colome. not sure how i feel about keuchel. he really fell off at the end of the season and could never make it passed the fifth inning last year
No team is as good as it looks when winning nor are they as bad as they look when losing

Kuechel's first month with the Braves was like spring training for him fwiw.
Back end #4 or #5 in the rotation he's not a bad pickup. I know your not too big on Don Cooper but he's still regarded as a good pitching coach. He should help. He turned Giolito 180 degrees.

It looks like Kuechel is slotted as their #2 as of now. I guess I have more optimism for Reynaldo Lopez this year. Rodon should be due back mid June, and what's the word on Kopech? When he's healthy you'd think he's starting every 5th day. Dylan Cease is a wildcard, he could be really good...

Interesting, the Rangers with a brand new park(who knows how it plays) acquire Kluber, Gibson and Lyles. Hopefully it's a pitchers park for their sake.
Kluber broke his arm last year, then injured his oblique in a rehab start which shelved him for the year. He's 33.
Madbum is in the desert...
Great hot stove year thus far, and we're still in December.
first he ruins my fantasy team now he's going to ruin my actual team. dudes gonna straight up haunt my dreams. pitcher friendly park? we are just happy it will be 72 in august FA's will appreciate that too

Donaldson agreed to a four-year deal with Minnesota with $92 million guaranteed,
including an $8 million buyout of a $16 million club option for a fifth
year.
I guess it's safe to say Twinkies improved their team, but this is a heavy contract to carry, mostly because of Donaldson's age, he is 34 now. Imo they could've used that money for a better arm, because they already had a potent offense, that kind of money would've brought a better reliever than Romo or Clippard, which they signed.
Donaldson was the last highly coveted FA, i think, the last important names left are Castellanos, Ozuna and Puig.
Accomplished time-waster

Depending on the tt and the price during this season, maybe more opportunities to bet
Twins Team Total Over ?

Jason Whitlock and Speak for Yourself just showed baseball highlights of Kyler Murray. Wow! Please bring him to the north side of Chicago. Power the other way with a great stroke! Kyler mentioned he can play football and baseball at the same time. Theo! Let's get on it! Make it happen!

Giolito, Keuchel, Kopech (after a few weeks of minor league work), Gio Gonzalez, Cease. Thats my guess as to what the rotation will be after a couple months.
Rodon and Reynaldo belong in the bullpen or at best #4-#5 starters. Reynaldo is lights out first time through a lineup, but after they see him once they figure him out pretty quick. Which makes me feel like he would be a good long relief (2-3 innings) guy to add in there.
Rodon can make a case for getting back in the rotation and bumping out Cease I guess. I just would rather be "all in" on Cease and find out if he can either be the guy we thought or not. The sooner we find that out, the better. Cease has the "stuff" to be a big league pitcher, he just needs to fine tune it a bit and locate.

Braves sign Marcel Ozuna to a 1 year deal. Shoulder shrug. Can't say good, can't say bad, eh.
The Cubs trade 24 year old prospect Clayton Daniels for 29 year old relief pitcher Casey Sadler. The Cubs simply do not care about their future apparently. Remember that post about 64% of their wins by pitchers with an average age of 33? And 17 of their wins were by 29 year olds. Here's another addition to their fountain of old.
Just a band aid for the bullpen if you ask me. The guy will probably end up starting alla Mike Montgomery when one of the old foggies gets hurt.
And the kid they gave up...more walks than strikeouts, .305 BA, "elite" 137 wRC+...ya know if the Dodgers dig it you all ready lost the deal before it was made.
My crystal ball says that Theo will bail on the Cubs by 2022 at the latest.

Well, even if the Cubs get really bad they will still have fans. Long tradition going back many decades is that the Cubs are, historically speaking, "Love-able Losers." lol but true.

sac you Chicago guys are not hard to please,a title every 100 years is good for you guys, you do not expect much and keep going to games unlike Calif.where once a team sucks we leave them, lol.
Now I have nothing to add baseball side of things since Giants are not doing anything to talk about.

The Reds continue to make moves with the signing of Nick Castellanos. It is too early to tell but the Reds are hoping to challenge in the NL Central. Not much going on with our other Ohio team but it looks like Lindor will be in Cleveland opening day. Getting close to the opening of spring training.

Sign me up for these:
Reds OVER 83.5 Wins(-125) 1.25/1.00
Cubs UNDER 86.5 Wins(-115) *2.30/2.00
Cardinals UNDER 88.5 Wins(even) *1.00
The Pirates RSW is at 71.5.
Add em all up and you get 330. 162X4=648-330=318. I know I know they don't only play intra division. But there are 12 magical wins in the formula.

Something to entice Sac, in buying that Cubbies subscription :
On Tuesday, the Cubs reached a one-year agreement on a Major League
contract with Jeffress, pending a physical, multiple sources told
MLB.com. The pact will come with a base salary of $850,000 and another
$200,000 in performances bonuses based on games pitched.

all this reds talk. how about them braves?! i love what the braves are doing. they know their weakness and fix it fast before the young guys make a run for bigger contracts. will smith is going to be huge for them. i think braves at +850 is worth a 50 spot
cooper did not turn around giolito. when the local beat asked gio what he did during his time off, he said he got advice from his high school coach.
