SnakeMan420 - Just an FYI, if you review the rules posted at the beginning of each daily thread, any given pick has to have juice that is no higher than -150. Obviously lower is better (+ is best!). For higher juice picks, perhaps look into taking the -1 or -1.5 RL instead to bring the juice back below -150.
In any case though, always nice to hear fresh takes on games even if they do not meet the criteria to make them a $$ play. Hope you will keep sharing.

Well, there goes the under in the Toronto game. Duffey got smoked all of a sudden by the slumbering bats of Toronto's big three, and now Minny just brought in gas can May. How does this guy still have a pitching job in the majors is beyond me.
KC just took the lead over Quintana as well. Ouch. White Sox bats been in sleep mode for a few games now.

Lakerz- I love Quintana too but you need to stay away from the Royals...I still think they win the Central...NOTE:; They are only 3 games out unless they MELT....be very careful fading the Royals.

Join the Pimp Nation...Yanks chase Gray and NOTE: A's defense is atrocious. Too many injuries. Damn we could have CRUSHED the book tonight if the Red Sox show up.
NOTE 2: I NEVER WIN on the Red SOX...it is unreal. Add Celtics, Patriots and I HATE Boston!!!!

Lakerz, I'm glad you won the A's game over. You definitely were right about it. A lot more runs could have been scored. Good call on the over. I'm sorry if I influenced you to not make it a $$$$ play.

Not a $ play but I like Yankees tonight with CC on the mound. He should be healthy after returning from injury tonight. Yankees are a better team then A's and starting to finally show it. Best bullpen in baseball.
Good call man. I was actually debating about making this a $$ play myself but am trying to find discipline and avoid playing Fridays. Liked CC and liked the dog odds. Next time eh?

I agree with you on that, in fact taking Quintana at -160 or whatever facing KC gave me pause. But sort of like how Arrieta is a must play for you every 5 games no matter what, Quintana and Sale have been making me bank, so I felt I would keep doing it until the inevitable happened. It almost happened yesterday with Sale. Good pitching but the offense all of a sudden stopped giving them support. That's baseball of course. It should happen to Arrieta at some point as well, pretty crazy run support he seems to *always* get, not that he hardly ever needs it.
Oh well, day could have been worse. Even with Sox, Angels, and Jays under all losing, at least Texas came through as a good dog plus the Yanks over. Close to a break even day overall. Definitely not big Pimpin' but not a disaster, heh.

Made my quota for the week already thanks in large part to all the winners y'all provided yesterday. Also had a very nice morning/afternoon on Finnish soccer today (3-1). I was at dinner in a place with no service this evening. Went in and things seemed to be going fine. Had a nice pitcher's duel in Minny. Came out and things exploded in the second half of the game. To anyone that tailed, sorry for the loss. Like I've said before, I think you people are on another level from me.

No need to fret, it's all good. Counter arguments should always be welcomed on this thread, as otherwise we all will get too complacent. I mean, I did the same thing in giving the counter argument for not betting on the Yankees today with Sabathia on the mound. Turns out it was a relatively easy victory for them. Hopefully nobody was assuaged by my arguments who really felt strongly about the Yankees.
In the end, if I could have gotten the Yankees over at 7 instead of 7.5 I would have made it a $$ play.

Traveling tomorrow so won't have time to post, but I'm going out of the box for this one. Feel free to bump to Saturday if it sounds interesting.
$$$$ Ontario Reign -1.5 (+175) $$$$
Ah the Calder Cup. The NHL's little brother is also in the midst of their playoffs and we find ourselves already at the Conference Finals. In the West we have the Ontario Reign (1st in the Pacific, less games played during the season, but longer travel) facing off against the Lake Erie Monsters (2nd in Central, play out of Cleveland)
Both teams have gone on impressive playoff runs and boast identical records of 7-2. I actually see this being a close series, but believe the Reign will take game 1 by 2 goals or more for the following reasons:
1. Playoff experience. The Reign won the "Calder" last year, albeit as the Monarchs and so know what it means/takes to go deep into the playoffs. The is the first playoffs in 5 years for Lake Erie.
2. De-fence! Ontario plays a tough, defence first style of hockey as exhibited by their 1st rankings in both GA & PK.
3. Goaltending. Peter Budaj has had a resurgence of a career in the AHL and owns a sparkling 1.73 GAA
4. California X-Factor. The Reign played both of their first two series in Cali and so never had to deal with timezone changes or extensive travel. The Monsters have been there for a while acclimatizing, but ... this is Cali man! Hard to focus on hockey when Hollywood is calling!
This is a bold play no doubt and I rarely play pucklines, but I think with the Reign train rolling, worst case scenario is a 2-1 game late and we sneak in an empty netter! .... well there could be a worst-er case ...
There she be!
$$$$ Record 3-0

This game is by far the most important game of season to Man United. The whole season was a disappointment. They haven't won anything this season and
they missed the Champions League for next season. That's million dollar lost and Coach LvGaal is ready for getting fired.
This game will be so dominated ba United. Guessing 68-32 percent ball handling and United have so much attack-power and best goal-keeper of a whole serie.
Crystal Palace instead suffer many bad injuries and last game I predicted United win to nil. 2-0 were result.
Now I cannot ask for less. ML is best play here with -128, but I'll take also small wager -1,5 RL with +230
$$$$ Red Devils ML -230 $500
(additional play -1,5 +230) $200
I agree with this play. Posted it in my soccer thread. Man U closed EPL really strong (Palace did not), and after getting shut out for Europe play (Champions League and Europa League), this is their only chance for some hardware.
FA Cup Title is fairly prestigious for English teams.

Well I turn my attention to horses and Preakness. This is a little known fact but place pool in this race pays as much as the win pool read this from an article bet like a trader and it makes sense ap winner of last year's triple crown went off at a 1/2 favorite a win paid 3 a place pool also paid 3 dollars big brown a heavy favorite actually paid more in the place pool than the win pool 2.40 to. Win and 2.60 to place a place pool pays if a horse wins or comes in second place with so much going down on the win pool this could be the year the place pool pays a little more. I have 700 to bet and I am betting it Nyquist clearly the best horse in the field exagerrator has placed second to this horse time and time again. But if a rare day unfolds and Nyquist is beat by a nose I get the same money betting he places. Anyway I liked the article made alot of sense and hope to fold a g from my 700 investment that Nyquist places first or second.
