Thanks for pointing that out...to be more precise, Ventura has MONSTER POTENTIAL and I hate getting upstaged by a better pitcher.  Yes, Ventura has been strugging most of the year as have the Royals in general.  Their bullpen which was the BEST last year is still very good , but not up to par.  And no Zobrist has really hurt them to...2nd base is a lost cause for them.

I guess we don't have to worry about them tonight, but i was just pointing out that Ventura is not your normal "fade" guy right now.  If you are playing the boston streak, I am 1000% with you until they lose or score less than 7 lol  

Im just not betting against the World Champs and their ACE.  And that doesn't make Boston a bad play at all.  Just not for me.

Zimmerman has been steady all season and allowed one run when he faced the Twins earlier this season. Berrios has had control issues and given up home runs in his last two games. Detroit knows they have to get it in gear if they want to have a chance at the playoffs and that that time begins now.

OKC +8 (-115)
OKC is being undervalued here. Despite a tough start to the Spurs series, OKC was playing in brilliant fashion. Kevin Durant was able to shake off any questions about him being one of the best offensive threats in the game, dropping 28/26/41/23/37 in his last five games and Westbrook has been phenomenal on the rebounds and assist figures, while supporting in the points department, avging over 20+ a game. With their recent rotation of Steven Adams and Kanter in the paint, the Thunder have been able to dominate the glass. The Warriors were severely outrebounded 62-32 in one of their prior meetings.  The Warriors have tons of momentum after defeating San Antonio in 6 as an underdog. I think the Thunder are getting massively disrespected here and their defense has stepped it up as of late. Warriors win by less than 8.

The battle of los Angeles.

I say to fade laa especially shoemaker who is 1-5 9.00 ish era.
Last year lad beat laa in all except for 1 game. Lad beat laa 3 of those games in lad house. It is still in los Angeles so jet lag n fan base offset one another however, it is like playing in your brother's house where your brother feels right at home and you are not unless you live there too lol

Lad is starting a person guy who pitches well. He's3-2 but could have been 4-1 since his last outing he lost but the score was 4-3 in lad lost.

Lad is 4-0 in last 4 playing interleague games at home.

Laa is 1-5 around there against al west.

Cot dang juice so high. What choice do i have?

Lad -1.5 +110 for my $$$$ today. I bought this super early and had a better line. This play is also my 180s opener rule as an auto play and since last year, for some reason, opener at 180s tends to win at a high capacity wgen playing -1 rl. I wonder if this year is as profitable too. We shall see.

Starting this week off the same way I've started the last few winning weeks, on the ice!

Short and sweet. Two back up goalies, and too many goal scorers on the ice. Tampa should continue to find success offensively, they're playing great hockey. Pitt was shut down in game 1, the size of Tampa gave them all kinds of issues and I think we see an adjustment from the home team. They need to come out quicker, and play with a higher intensity and I think we see that tonight. I was on the over in game 1, tough to swallow when there's a goose egg in the third period and 3 minute of empty net time. Special teams will be important as always, more PP time the better for us tonight. Think we open it up a bit and Pitt finds the magic on the offensive end!

Game is postponed so with that, i shall talk with some giggles. Kc may be last years hero but they have not proven anything yet this year. They cost me money on game one at home and against the low life of atlanta. They did well game 2 but juice was so high and i had a good feeling they would not let an embarrassment like that happen twice in a row. Away yes n not in their house.

Postpone today but not tomorrow. I might ride boston again until they break their bat. Them team total over smells yummie.

I am thinking about taking the over on teams who are laying big juices. Instead of wishing for a -1.5 to cover, might as well take the team runs over to get the same amount of odds payout. Still pondering.

Thanks for your input on this game and I'm glad that you are making the same play as I am with my own $$$$ play today.

I'm intriqued by this "180s rule" -- is this a rule of just in the -180s, or is it -180 and above odds for an opener game of a series?

Is it both road/home teams or home teams only?

And what kind of win rate did this have last year?

What is more important is you go on a hot streak so that you become this weeks poster child so that we may tail you for money. Good cappers on here get skunk weeks too thus why we need you to shine for such week as we tail you for bucks.

Final Card:

1. LAD -1.5  (I see NFL just posted it above)  I was ALL over Fade the Angels and was looking like a 5-1 or 6-0 week against them ,but on Friday Seattle bullpen collapses.  Angels end up sweeping.  However, Shoemaker is simply awful.  A human gas can and I think the Dodgers will hit Shoemaker early and often. 

2.  Tex OAK Over 8.5.  Valencia Red hot, Oakland hitting Desmond red hot , Texas hitting.  Manea getting hit, Holland getting hit...wind blowing out...don't like two teams traveling on Sunday night, but going West is ALWAYS easier travel.

3.  Yankees AZ Over:  I will hope to get this total at 4-4 or 5-3 by the 7th inning.  Not sure how many AZ will get against the Yanks bullpen.  But I think this might be an offensive explosion.  More of a GUT feel here 

4.  Gonna Tail Bubba with Hockey Over 5

5  Gonna FADE OKC and go with Warrios -7.5

Sorry for posting the other day. Didn't realize how long this had been going on. Great idea for a thread. I will be content letting the professionals go to work and tailing when I am able. Bracken13....Don't be shy and I don't care what your logic is, gut etc.  Just do a short write up about why you like a play and lets it go.  I have tailed several on here and made $ but at the end of the day...you just gotta find winners out there. Baseball is a long long season and you need to jump in the deep end.

I personally would like to hear WHY you like under in first half?  224.5 is a HUGE total in a Game 1....I could see under in 1st, but I need a little more help getting there.  Sell me on it!!!  I am always looking for a good buy!

I originally had red sox team total over 4, however that game is postponed. not going to force a play here. I will give a play for tomorrow.

I only give 1 play per day and keep going until i hit my 4 $$$$ for the week. Just missed the golden $$$$ last week. Lets see if we can get it this week. Check back with me tomorrow with my play.

I have a thread i posted since last year called the mlb mickey mouse system you would hate. I continued it with this year. I forgot what my parameters are with 180s but i think it is for all games if opener is in the 180s, i take the -1 rl. The team has to win their last game too so technically, lad is a disqualifier today lol

It was profitable last year but this year, i am hunting them shutout games. Playing 2nd and or 3rd games of series if the previous game was a shutout. I think the system pushes out 70% winning ratio so far. It is called the mickey mouse system because i did not do a back track with the system for years. I started it in my head last year and was profitable. This year, hoping to do the same and we never know if the system is a diamond in the rough. I just hate chasing system. My bank roll is not big enough to chase on a cold spell.

Tailing for money. Brother man with the rays play good call. I lost one there. Trust the line movement. Glad i smelled the fishy business n omitted having t dot in any one of my other parlays.

Yoooo! I'm with anything this thread decides to do in the future! I'm a loyal follower and its really the only thread I mess with on covers, so if it moves, Im moving. I went on and tried my first $$$ plays last week and went 1-1. I will try and post more plays, and hopefully get into the money column. I appreciate all cappers in this thread who take their time on a game and provide insightful write ups. I'm pretty new to this sports capping thing and I've been learning along the way. Not only have I made some bucks tailing you guys, it has also provided me with a couple great websites and angles to dig through to get reliable information on games.
Thank you guys. So with that being said; I'm about to get to work and hopefully provide some winners!

Hello all.  Longtime lurker finally inspired enough to post my first play.

MLB baseball is my obsession, so I hope to provide some positive insights to this forum.

That being said, with my 0-0 posted record, my play for 5/16 is:


Rangers @ A's Over 8 -110  5.5 UNITS

Struggling SP's Holland vs Manaea with the wind blowing straight out to CF ~12mph at gametime.  Hollan'd struggles aren't fluky with the 5.23 SIERA, 5.31 xFIP, lowest GB rate of his career (albeit the small sample size).  Manaea is a bit of a wild card due the the lack of track record, he but hasn't posted a quality start in his first 3 starts and Texas is 4th in the MLB vs LHP.  

I could go on wuite a bit about the matchup, but I think the pitching matchup gives anough arguments for the over.  Good luck if you decide to tail!

An interesting match up tomorrow between the Cubs and Brewers. Kendrick has given up 0 runs, 1 run, and 1 run in his last 3 starts against the Cubs (1st 5 innings). Anderson gave up 6 runs in 5 innings last year against the Brewers and isn't pitching lights out right now. A possible +.5 or ML play tomorrow 1st 5 innings.

@Cofiki if you want the play to count as a "$$$$" and be tracked.  You need to put $$$$ by your selection and make it bold.

What do you know, @bubba set me straight. 4 goals in the 1st.....wow. miss read that play big time. One could hope for a 3-2 win but this looks like a 6-5 shootout. Went from a 7 unit to a 5 unit play for me after bubba insight.

@bubba - I vote for letting the new posters go ahead and make $$ plays from the get go with no trial period.  Even with the hit and runs, people can spot the posters that do well over time thanks to the updated leader board.  It is handy to include the last 10 as well.  For example, one look at my last 10 and one knows to avoid until I turn it around.  I've been trying to include a disclaimer my last few picks to let others know I am ice cold. 

I do not have an opinion either way in keeping this thread at covers or moving it to a new forum with RSS. 
Holy moly, Detroit is doing their best to that F5 inning bet after being staked to an 8-0 lead after 1. 

That Pens over 5 looks like a gimme after 1st period.  Figures since I did not bet it, LOL.  Congrats to those who did.

Only reason I didn't make the Pens/Lightning Over a $$$$ was because of the small sample size of Andrei.  It however was a full size $$$$ wager for me which is always nice to see as a worst case Push after one period.  There was a decent amount of discussion on this NHL total today so hopefully some of the thread will earn a little coin tonight.
