Well nats and cubs set to square off Derby weekend. Thurs Fri Sat may 7th best starting rosters in the league. Differences Jason Hamel from the cubs hits better than the 6-9 in the national batting order. Should be a great series.

The Giants will be tough to beat if they stay healthy....very tough.
Giants starting rotation after Bumgarner isn't up to it. KC didn't hold on to Cueto for good reason, Samardzija isn't anyone's savior & Matt Cain's shelf life is up (3 WS rings and he's at his limit). That's going to led to a pen getting taxed (2 BP losses in 15 games already) & Bumgarner coming under extraordinary pressure to win every start he makes, which can only wear him out mentally.
NL West is going to be a tough little number this year, Rockies & AZ gonna spoil LA's & SF's desire to have it be yet another two horse race like it has been for 3 of the last 4 years. Giants currently only 5-7 against NL West foes. The unbalanced schedule is going to reduce that division to a dogfight where they all drag each other down, doubt very much that the 2nd place team will have a record good enough to earn a wild card spot. IMO their current odds to win the WS are clearly overpriced.
Of course the notion "this iteration of the Giants performs in even numbered years" is going to part people with their money for the flimsiest of reasons.

Like to see Theo epstien poach Hanley Ramirez by all star break bring in a utility ss\2nd basemen by. All star break the man could steal home if a wild pitch was thrown. Be a great acquisition for a fall run by the cubs. Papelbon also playing like he wants to be traded from Baltimore.
