how long do you spend looking over a play in MLB? I can spend quite a while with a football play or a basketball play. However I tend to do rather well. I seem to find 5 or 6 plays a day on an MLB card but I spend quite a bit of time going over them. Do you find it easier with baseball to just look for your certain key items and move on to your next lean? Any insight is helpfull and many thanks

yes, you must only have 3 or 4 criteria imo or else it will be both too confusing and time consuming. i go through the card and write down my leans in about 10 mins using 1 or 2 of the criteria. then i will take the leans and spend a few minutes on each using more factors to decide whether it's a no-play, small play or big play.
gladwell's theory has helped me out.

Thanks for your time Sims Oddly enough I used the same theory when I finally figured out my other sports. I go down the line and pick my leans within minutes...then I look over and file my strong plays from there. I will start this tomorrow in MLB with significantly smaller wagers but more plays involved and see what my results are. I feel I know what to look for, but end up looking too far into plays. I'll stop by your thread tomorrow with some of my leans....GL tonight

it's definitely a more conservative way to play. b/c there is a lot better chance of going 0-3 than 0-15, but the same goes for 3-0 and 15-0. as long as you are putting in the same number of units in play...it doesn't matter how many you play.
btw - my unit is small
i'm up around 4k this year.
Anyone that is new to betting and thinking of tailing all sims plays: Solid bankroll management is a must. There will be a much higher variance when playing this many games. Just my 2 cents. BOL That said... Sims is the best I've seen at his style of capping and one of the sharpest cappers around covers.
