Jason Vargas is dripping with lighter fluid, and this Seattle bet, which I was so close to skipping, is a $5,100 loser.  Now I have to root for Chen the rest of the way to preserve a split on those team totals. 
 
In other news, I drew a few offers in the first three innings of the Yankees game and now I have 3 units risked on Boston at an average price of +228.

I was just watching Vargas explode in the 1st inning in Kansas City.  As soon as he gave up the 2-run double down the right field line, I turned around and began typing the above post.  I then flipped back to the Yankees game and saw that Boston had a 3-1 lead.  I'm only writing this useless post so no one rushes to claim that I posted $3,000 worth of Boston +228 in-game wagers AFTER the Red Sox scored twice.  I didn't know that yet.  All I knew at the time was that Jason Vargas is really untalented.

Its cool Bator...You were correct to take Seattle...Its still early...I went to High School with jason Vargas, and he has always been very mediocre...We can still pull out the Seattle bet though...

MrB   Did the fact that the Yanks have been playin good ball lately and Bos not so good factor in your wagering choice or would Bos have the edge based on 8-0 head to head play? Maybe just value line?

The price got to a ridiculous point where I almost felt I had no choice.  Then a friend of mine who's been super icy cold called me up and asked if I would bet the Yankees runline for him.  I booked his bet (as I usually do, and always with his consent).  Then I threw away another 3 units on the in-game betting.  I don't feel too bad about it.  John Smoltz just needs to announce his retirement tomorrow morning and I will be at peace.

Game is far from over.  Joba laboring...Boston can hit the Yanks pen.  Yanks shouldn't blow this game but this is the Bos/NY series and ANYTHING that can happen will happen.
