you cant blame the guy for wanting to get paid. i mean 11 years and playing REALLY good baseball. If the cardinals resign him, they would be set for the future for selling tickets. he draws alot of people.
After Tony retired, I thought he might sign elsewhere...
It's too bad he didn't sign though with the Cards because they would've had an excellent shot at multiple championships going forward.
Last year was a great story and a nice way for Albert to end his career there--and I sure wished I had seen Idothis's 4000:1 long shot thread SOONER rather than later; and had put something on it as well. Even $5 friggin dollars paid 2 grand!

It is okay for kids to root for an organization because they do not know any better;. But as an adult, one should realize that the sports industry quit caring about their fans a long time ago. But hold on to your youth and ignorance as long as you can if it makes you happy.
