I'm taking a poll of users of the Covers MLB matchups page (which can be accessed by clicking on the "matchup" link on the MLB Scores and Matchups page). Going back to maybe a year ago, there was considerable change made to the format of this page. Ease of access to certain pieces of information was affected, and there were other changes as well. I'm sure that any of you who were around a little while know what I'm referring to. From what I've heard, there are many who are not in favor of the change (I've taken a similar poll in the NBA forum regarding changes to the Scores and Matchups page format for that sport. Feel free to view that thread, it's titled "Taking a poll - new vs. old Scores and Matchups Page format" - last post so far was around 7 pm EST June 19 -you can do a User Name search using my user name if you have trouble finding it).
Do you have a preference between the new MLB matchup format and the old?
Cast your vote ("old" or "new"), and chime in with your comments if you wish. Make your voices heard!

The old format was far and away better. Was just thinking this today, as I was researching a few games. The "trends" tab in the matchups pages are useless now, was very useful before with situational trends. Also the starting pitcher stats I recall had the last 10 games for pitchers before, which only lists the last 3 now.

I know for certain that many years ago, the matchup pages weren't filled with so many errors and omissions, I mean there are games that are missing from a team or pitcher log, like they never happened. And why does pitcher log show a starting pitcher making a relief appearance but 0.0 innings pitched because he didn't even enter the game , sheesh, everything in a high tech world is subject to be wrong because nobody cares and nobody wants to be accountable.

We'd like to thank all of you for providing valuable feedback on the most recent updates to our basketball and football scoreboard products. We've been following these conversations very closely and sharing feedback with our product team. In response, we would like to share some immediate updates we’re making, as well as a few we have on our roadmap.
Immediate and upcoming changes:
-Adding Opening odds -Updated the interval for faster live score updates -Update tablet view to show 2 games side by side for more games in view
Items on the roadmap:
-Trending points total and team to cover -Easier navigation and less scrolling -Automatic live score updates (without requiring a page refresh)

Old was much better. I like seeing the innings and who is scoring early and late, and big innings for over under. And I liked knowing Roto num for each game. Seems like vegasinsider made a change years ago pulling back from a view I liked. May have been for NFL.

I really liked having the Last 10 ML-O/U stats on the main MLB matchup page. Also, the font/boldness on starting pitchers is too small/weak with the new format, IMO.

Don't know what's going on . just starting today I had to hit the boxscore button for each individual game just to see if it went to extra innings. tons more scrolling than before where everything was right in front of me . Ridiculous !

Old format is WAY better. The new format is just like every other page on every site.
The old format gave way more information with MLB. It allowed me to focus in on a few series at a glance. This is what happens when Covers allows people that don't sports bet to design their page.
Anyone know of a site that shows more info at a glance? I won't be visiting Covers much in the future. I've been looking this morning for a replacement.

Who ever designed it does not sports bet. Covers had the best at a glance page. What's kinda insulting is they didn't test a beta version out or ask the community if they like A B or C type layout.
The page they present now I can get at any sport web site. We've lost Statfox and now Covers.

We aren't using Covers for the scoreboard bro. We are using covers to handicap games. And you've removed all the basic information we use to do that on the main page.

This new format blows ass. It seems like everyone here agrees that it does blow ass. Gotta consider other options for handicapping purposes if covers doesn't figure this out
