Miami can play any style, but prefers to run, 5th in the NBA in scoring and on a 7-3 run over the total. The over is 7-1 in the Heat’s last 8 games following a win, 6-1 over the total playing on 1 days rest and 5-2 over the total against the Western Conference. Oklahoma City loves to run, as well, tops in the NBA in scoring with 106.4 ppg. In a marquee national TV game, look for the offenses to shine and the over is 8-2-1 in the last 11 meetings in Oklahoma City. Play the Heat/Thunder over the total.

Bourne is solid as Tito continues to bring in major league talent.  For the first time in a long time we have a decent day to day line up, now we just need some pitching.  Ubaldo, J-Mast lead a staff that did not have a starter with an ERA under 5.00.  Maybe Dice-K will bounce back and ex-Astro Meyers will give us some decent innings.  This 2013 Tribe resembles the 2012 O's, hopefully we can be as successful as Buck's boys were. 

I've been burning the midnight oil getting ready for baseball as I will add a few new wrinkles this year. I've been kicking around the idea of a web site similar to what NROPP does for hoops.    

Both Minnesota and St. Mary's were plays last night with a split or loss and a tie depending on whta number you got for Minn. I had -4.5 so was a lucky winner.   The system has cooled off so be careful tonight.

Note: When the Tigers take on the Bears in an Ivy League battle at Dartmouth Friday evening, Princeton will enter the game off a loss as 11-point favorites at home. That's a good omen for the visitors tonight as Princeton is 4-0 ATS in games after being upset by the Eli.  The Tigers are also 4-0 ATS in their last four Ivy League skirmishes when taking the court off an upset loss. 

Princeton is 5-0 ATS in its last five Ivy League games when playing off a SU favorite loss. The road team is 16-5 ATS in the last 21 meetings when Princeton and Dartmouth square off. Princeton is 10-3 ATS in their last 13 in Ivy League play.

The Brown Bears are showing solid value as a 4-point home underdog to the Columbia Lions tonight. I'll gladly take advantage and back the Bears as a free pick as they look to build on their solid 5-2 home record this season. The home team has won four straight meetings in this series. That includes a 94-78 win by Brown last season as a 6-point underdog. The Bears were also victorious in their previous home meeting with the Lions, winning 87-79 as a 2-point dog in 2011. The home team is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings. The biggest reason Brown is undervalued here is the fact that it has lost three straight road games coming in. Those three have been against solid competition in Harvard, Princeton and Pennsylvania. Now, they return home where they have played their best basketball of the season to stop the bleeding. Columbia has no business being favored on the road with how it is playing of late, either. It has lost four of its last five games overall with road losses to Pennsylvania and Princeton, and home losses to Cornell and Dartmouth. The Lions are getting too much respect for their home win over Harvard last time out.

Brown is a perfect 6-0 ATS in home games versus good defensive teams - allowing <=64 points/game over the last 3 seasons. The Bears are 8-1 ATS in home games versus poor pressure defensive teams - forcing <=14 turnovers/game over the last 3 seasons. Brown is 4-0 ATS in its last 4 home games overall. The Lions are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. win.
