PLAY #1: Cubs -1.5 (+125)

I'm gonna roll with the Cubs RL here at plus money. As most of you know by now I love finding plays at plus money.

We have Jose Quintana (3.86era) taking on Drew Smyly (0.0era). Both these pitchers have pitched well in the early goings. I expect both these pitchers to start regressing here soon. Once the managers start stretching these guys out more we will start to see that.

I like this spot for the Cubs to get one back vs the Pirates. Cubs won this same exact matchup on April 12th 2-1. Cubs had 8 hits and only 2 runs.

The Cubs are 5th in MLB against lefties in wRAA. I expect this good lineup vs lefties to get after Quintana who has a 6.46 xERA. The Cubs bullpen has performed pretty decent this year posting a 3.09 ERA which is near top 10 in the MLB. Give me the Cubs on the runline.

PLAY #2: Nationals ML

Im going to roll with the home dog tonight. Lately I’ve backed good hitting teams against lefties. Tonight I’m fading the bad hitting team against lefties in the Giants. The Giants have the worst average in baseball against lefties. Patrick Corbin isn’t the Patrick Corbin of old but the metrics suggest he’s pitched better than his current ERA. 

Give me the Nationals at plus money against the Giants bullpen game. I don’t see why the Giants are getting 80% of the tickets here
