Nicolas Cage in anything except "Raising Arizona"...he played the part
of an idiot to perfection in that. All he had to do was act naturally.
obviously you never saw him as Dr Fu Manchu.....in Werewolf Women of the SS
yeah that's a good one.....i like him personally..but he has played a ton of characters not likable AT ALL...even those we were supposed to like....seems like his performance didn't really make you care....

how about Kevin Gage as "Waingro" in "Heat"? definately wanted to see THAT psyco fuck die. close 2nd in the same movie is Willian Fichtner as the "investment broker" (mob money launder) "Roger Van Zant". what a fucking weasel.
you can also throw in Bud Cort as that asshole Diner manager, Solenko. was a small part but I was hoping Dennis Haysbert as the former convict - short order cook Donald Breedan would cram his head in a deep fat fryer going out the door when he joins Neil McCauley's (Robert DeNiro) crew as the driver.
BOTH Doug Hutchison as that little weasel of a guard "Percy Wetmore" AND Sam Rockwell as the death row inmate, who actually murdered the two little girls John Coffey was convicted of, "Wild Bill Wharton" in "The Green Mile" are excellent selections.

maybe doesn't fit the criteria because he's the primary villan in the movie BUT how about Andy Robinson as "Scorpio" in Clint Eastwood's "Dirty Harry"?
I can't BELIEVE that his character is NOT listed in AFI's 50 BEST VILLIANS list 
note: Andy Robinson believed that the "Scorpio" part pretty much destroyed his movie career. as stated in his wikipedia page, "His role as Scorpio gave him widespread exposure, but Robinson also found himself typecast as "psycho" characters. He has also claimed that the role severely limited his casting options, as film producers were reluctant to cast him as any "good guy" roles". the only real steady work he ever got after "Dirty Harry" was years later as the Cardassian tailor-spy Garak in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

*Nicolas Cage is a lot of movies ive seen him in lately. brutal...

great one....criteria maybe for judging bad guys ?.......if you see one of these guys.....who...instead of asking for autograph or whatever.....would you REALLY want to punch ?
that dude Andy R....would be at the TOP of my list....(not having many more identifying roles helps)...
