I don't think there is a Tim Roth character in ANY of his movies that I don't want to see DEAD. something about the guy just makes me fucking HATE him even when he's supposed to be the "hero"

IF we are talking about the 1961 Paul Newman vs Jackie Gleason classic. Rod Steiger was NOT in the movie. you could have him mistaken for George C Scott as Fast Eddie's "bankroll loanshark" Bert Gordon.

I forgot about Jason Issacs as Colonel William Tavington in "The Patriot" who is based on the real life Banastre Tarleton of the British force "Tarleton's Raiders" during the American Revolution who was a murdering bastard. also Kevin Bacon as the homosexual rapist guard Sean Nokes in Sleepers. was great to see ALL those guards get their's in the end of the movie.

Adolph Menjou as General Broulard is a nasty bastard for sure BUT George Macready as General Mireau, who orders his own artillery to open fire on his own troops trench to force them onto the battlefield, is ten times worse.
not ANY real "hero" in this classic anti-war movie not even Kirk Douglas as Colonel Dax because he doesn't stand up to either Mireau or Broulard, either over the ill planned atack OR the "kangaroo court", "cover your ass" court-martial, until the very end of the movie. about the only possable "hero" is the French artillery commander who refused General Mireau's order to fire on his own troops trench. everyone else just "goes along to get along".
