It! The Terror from Beyond Space (1958)
only reason I watched it is because Robert Osborn of TCM said it was the inspiration for Ridley Scott's 1979 Alien and ex for the "IT" being a guy in a rubber monkey suit instead of an H. R. Giger creation and getting on the spaceship thru an open hatch before it departs Mars instead of popping out of some poor crewmember. it was essentially the same plot BUT with 1950's SciFi "B movie" actors and not nearly the special effects.
somewhat intersting for the comparison to Alien BUT pretty much typical 1950's SciFi "schlock"

Knight and Day - Wasn't too bad.Had me somewhat entertained for an hour and a half.Tom Cruise was kind of funny in this.
Breast Men - Finally watched this flick after blowing it off for years.I thought it was pretty good.Chris Cooper was great as usual and David Schwimmer wasn't too bad either as the doctors who invented breast implants.

Client 9 : The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer
was on Biography the other night. pretty interesting overview of the whole Eliot Spritzer mess. although Spritzer did it to himself, it's pretty obvious that the Wall Street Weasels and the FBI under the Bush administration did everything they could to make sure the scandal forced him out.
worth watching esp if your a political junkie

finally watched Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps on HBO last night. NOT a fan of Shia LaBeouf and didn't think it was as good as the 1987 original but WAS entertaining.
opening where Gekko is released from prison and gets his old "brick" cell phone back is pretty funny. also the cameos by Charlie Sheen as an older (and richer) Bud Fox and Sylvia Miles who played the old bag real estate agent who handles both the buy and sell of Bud Fox's condo in the original, now selling Jake Moore's (LaBeouf) Long Island house, were pretty cool.
thought Susan Sarandon as Jake Moore's real estate "wheeler-dealer" mother, Frank Langella as the Moore characters mentor-father figure Louis Zabel and Eli Wallach as Julie Steinhardt chairman emeritus of Churchill Schwartz were all excellent in their roles.
definate "must see" for those that enjoyed the 1987 original BUT I think they could have cast better for the roles of Jake Moore (LaBeouf) and Gekko's estranged daughter Winnie (Carey Mulligan).

btw, BEST line in the movie....
Gordon Gekko to Bretton James (Josh Brolin) during the Met fundraiser scene, "Make you a deal, Bretton. you stop telling LIES about ME and I will stop telling the TRUTH about YOU"
also watched Sneakers (1992) last night (what the hell. NO hockey) and thought it was a pretty good "techno spy" thriller. David Strathairn is excellent as the crew's blind sound expert "Whistler". worth watching iF you like the genre. I thought it was pretty well acted all the way around.

Ca$h
Black comedy/thriller starring Sean Bean who forces a married, surburban couple to embark on a crime spree in order to repay money they had spent after finding a large sum of cash which belonged to him and his twin brother
Not great but still watchable and enjoyable

SO many funny scenes in the movie. John Goodman as Walter Sobchak steals the show. always laugh my ass off when the Nihilists invade the Dude's bathroom and drop the ferret in the bathtub. also when The Dude drops the joint in his lap driving and wrecks his car trying to put it out AND the scene scattering Donnie's ashes

watched both Machete and The Transporter (the original of the series staring Jason Statham) last night. BOTH excellent non-stop action with plenty ordnance. Mayra Leal as Chica (the naked girl at the beginning of Machete) is one HOT tootsie
