1.Tupac- every rapper in the game imulates him in one way or another. An icon to all your favorite rappers.The poetic,realest,lyrical and made you feel his verse coming straight from the heart,painted visual lyrics.Made his lyrics come to life.A gift that very few mc's can do now.
2.Nas- lyrically could dominate any mc in the game.The second coming of Rakim.changed the game lyrically that every rapper in the game before him had to step up there lyrics.And still in a class of his own.proof is the either song which made Jay Z quit the battle and used his mom as an excuse to end it.
3.Jayz- most consistent mc in the game with hit albums,songs.lyrically cant disagree that he is top 5 ever to touch the mike.He is top 5 cause there is a # of things he changed in the game.
4.Biggie-lyrically flow wise he changed the game.He made his lyrics flow to the beat like no other mc.one of the best lyrically flow was so tight that it was the blueprint for all the mc's to follow.(jayz-lil wayne-50 cent)would of been above Jay Z if his life was not cut short.
5.Rakim-Blueprint to lyrics before him rap was ABC rap.every rappers icon. Legendary lyrically every rapper had to follow him.To hip hop he wrote the Bible to how to put words together and make it connect inteligently.
7.Big pun-lyrical mc who could destroy any rapper in a battle.lyrical genius.Jay z scared to make a song with him cause he might have out shined him.potental to be the best ever if his life was not cut short.
8.Eminem-reminds me of Big Pun lyrical assasin.could battle anybody in the game.Every MC lyricaly scared to battle him.Made everybody forget he was a white rapper cause he is so talented.gets his respect in the game as one of the greatest mc to do it.
9.slick rick-best story teller ever.
10.ll cool j- longest successful mc in the game that no mc could compare.G.O.A.T
11-Big Daddy Kane-without him Biggie,Jay-Z would not be.
12-Big L-destroyed Jay-z in a freestyle mixtape to bad his life ended short.
13-Jadakiss-lyrically no mc could be more gutter then him.would have put him top ten if he did not lose to Bennie Siegal.
14-Dre2000-lyrically untouchable in the south.

Disagree with Pac being emulated by every rapper.  And Pac was not the realest.  He brought the drama upon himself and reveled in it.  He moved out west and got even more ink for that west coast gangster image.  Definitely not the realest....

Rakim sprinkled his songs with 5% info that the masses have yet to understand to this day.  An icon for sure.

Andre (you know him as Dre 3000, not 2000).  He's not only lyrically untouchable in the south, but damn near untouchable anywhere.  The intelligence of his mind puts the listener in complete awe.

I agree with you on not every rapper imulating tupac because i dont see tupac on this skinny jean sh-t going right now.but he he influenced most of hip-hop today example.....(jarule-no need to explain,Jay z did the remake of me and my girlfriend with beyonce,nas-got your self a gun and was gonna make a album with him before his death,friend of biggie before he felt he was betrayed,snoop dog would have not have been with his wife if it was not for him,treach from naughty by nature best friend in the industry,Deathrow records went to shit after his death, was glorified on babyboy the movie, was mentioned by a number of ya favorite artist  as one of  the  best,still selling records after many years after his death ......could keep going and going.........

as for the REALIST mc i have to say there is no rapper till this day that displayed his bravery,courage and showed it to the world publicly like he did example.....born from his mother from the Black panther,growing up up lived in several hoods cross country from NY to CALI, expanding to bigger ventures early in his career by acting(juice,poetic justice)Got shot five times,spent time in jail and still did not give a @#%k,when he spoke to the media it was a message like how he preached in his lyrics,He showed how dirty and raw you can get with your nemisis(Biggie) by making one of the best diss songs and taking pictures with his wife during beef.Tupac went out like a  soldier stuck to his gun and showed no fear no matter what the cause.truly lived thuglife, by telling his future and fate in his music and publicly.Name a rapper spitting at camera reporters and saying fuck the police now of our days. There is  a lot of rapper talking this and that on record, but if they get too famouse and publicity they DUMB DOWN.Tupac kept it real and political, could have been an activist maybe better than Rev.Al sharpton and would have been proud of a black president,( he also made a record about that.)He saw not only what was going on in the world in that time but he also saw the future.

Guru RIP 

1.  Pac - By far in away the best of all time..No discussion in my opinion.  On personal taste he's my favorite.

2.  Biggie - Not one of my personal favorites but some of his music was outstanding.  Definitely number 2.

3.  Eminem - Absolute genius I think he is only getting better..This next cd should be great.

4.  Jay-Z - Again not a favorite of mine but he has much respect from me.  I do like Jay but I don't like his music as much as I do these others.

5.  Lil Wayne - If this idiot could stay off drugs he could move up.  Lyrically he is above all right now.  I like his style.  He could move up, but he needs to stay off the drugs.  I know some people probably disagree with this one but this is based on personal taste. 

 

I would put FABOLOUS over LIL WAYNE any day hands down...I dont understand why some put lil wayne up there.When fabolous has better punch-lines,flow and actually makes sense with his rymes......

2.RUN DMC- first group to crossover hip-hop to countries all over the world,trend setters My Addidas,first group to sell millions.They introduced hip-hop to the masses and made it cool to listen and gave the appearance on how to walk,dress and act in hip-hop.

3.MOBB DEEP-The most gutter,grimy,raw street lyrical group.Most underated group ever to do it.They dont get credit for how they make there lyrics come to life, with emotional raw lyric that make you feel it.

4.THE FUGEES- Lauren HIll stuck out.Best Female MC to touch the mic period.......

5.N.W.A - Introduced to the world to  Gansta Rap. EASY E, ICE CUBE,DR.DRE,MC REN....... the most hated by the government and most contravercial group ever.

6.BONE THUGS+HARMONY-sold millions,started  a new style of rapping, with the speed flow of rapping with a harmony chorus singing flow. BIGGIE,JAY Z and many MC's copied there style.

I respect what he has done but if you want to be known as the best you need to make it to the show. Its like a hall of fame minor leaguer breaking records but never gets to show his stuff in the major league.How many 1 Draft college basketball players turn to bench warmers a bust in the NBA.... How many hiesman trophy winners are a bust in the NFL........same goes with HIP-HOP when your actually in the game will your words actually fill madison square garden like JAY-Z.......ask your self that quest.  When he Immortal tech gets to that level let me know....IT should not be be a problem according to what your saying .
