Just quick predictions for the Cavs/Warriors Finals.
I
believe this will go the distance. Just way too much money to be had
here. We have a fully healthy Cavs squad wich we did not have last
season - this will bring in even more ratings
on top of the attention a rematch w/ these two teams will already
bring. How could Silver not have a game 7!
I believe, much like the
GSW/OKC series, they will fabricated drama - If GSW are indeed to win the
finals look for them to be down early in the series & have the
public thinking Cavs will win the Championship or a scenario where Cavs evens and then leads the series. Odds for GSW will even
go down (like it did vs OKC when they were $5 to win the ship). Then BAM
a GSW come back & win in gm7. This can also be said about Cavs if
they are 'supposed' to win this series. Look for the winning team to be
down early.
Remember also that since Lebron joined Miami ratings spike
when ever Lebron loses. A Lebron loss in a game 7 battle would be HUUGE
revenue for the league. Add on top a win for Curry & GSW (the
league's new cash cow) & Silver, his officiating henchmen and the
league will be laughing all the way to the bank.
Cavs took Warriors to 6 games minus Irving so there's no doubt this one will go to 7, plus the money to be made w/ an extended series is gigantic. I have GSW in 7 & will bet accordingly in that regards. But we take it one game at a time.

if the league was about making money then why didn't the Cavs play the Heat in the eastern conference finals?

because a whole country and other internationals wanted to see the raptors. keep killing it 3ballbomber, I'm finding it very hard to cap game 1 from a spread perspective, I'm more likely to go with the Under in the first game and heavy on 1Q under given that both teams will stress ball movement and play good defense to start the game.

Yeah and why did the Spurs beat the Heat 4-1 in 2014 lol. Guy is pulling everyones string. He has excellent basketball knowledge and can clearly pick the games(although he pads stats by adding by buying a point as an extra play on tons of games) but loves to play silly.

Funny you mention that because In 2014 i hit 84% in the finals going 31-6. It was my best playoffs & finals. It was the most confident i had ever been on a team winning the Championship. I predicted officiating and won & made bets in accordance to ref stats. I'll find & link you to my 2014 thread when i get home. I suggest you read through it & then come back & see if your opinion has changed.
If you notice also, i whent 5 out of 7 games in the OKC/GSW series making picks based on ref stats. Not to mention the Cavs/Tor series.
In Regards to Miami not facing the Cavs it could be any reason. I obviously don't have the answer as i lost my future on the Heat & had a bad round 2 because of it. But it has been only the very few times i've been wrong about a team these playoffs.

I was initially lost also on who to pick in game 1 for the finals....GSW just won a very emotional & tiring 7 game series vs the Thunder, while Cavs come in very well rested afyer cruising past the East. but i have come up w/ a few theories i'll elborate on when i get home later. I'm quite excited for game 1 actually & can't wait to put all the theories together.

Actually maybe there won't even be a script. The league should be fine whoever wins this..
You could be right. Everything is speculation right now as we try to read the leagues motives. Things become more factual once we start predicting and hitting plays based off our beliefs of who we think the league wants to hoist that Championship trophy. For example in 2014 when i picked the Spurs to win since the start of that season - it was obviously just a mere prediction until i started to pick plays based on it and officiating stats and won consistently leading to a 31-6 finals record........
.........so as the series progresses i think we get to see signals, clues and signs of wich direction the league is going. I'm excited to see it all unfold.

One
thing i'm observing is how people have seen how Cavs steam rolled
their way through the Eastern Conference, sweeping 2 rounds &
dominating the ECF & seen how GSW struggled in the West. Because of
this they compare & consider Cavs the better team &
even have a few thinking they'll sweep the Warriors. This logic is
faulty, the main being the fact Cavs faced sfot competition & were never challenged. This thinking may most likely have you drowning in losing tickets. However,
this will help Warriors backers moving forward
Here's my take on Game 1. Usually i'd say if 'this team' are indeed 'supposed' to win the series then they take gm1 as to not risk anything unnecessarily. But i also said to look for the team that the league wants to win the ship to be down early. Warriors were already down in game 1 vs OKC i don't think this will be ''allowed' to happen again. Warriors just played a highly emotional series and game and just feel this may be a let down spot (gut instincts).
However i am thinking of going w/ GSW for gm1 simply because i can double up on them gm2 if they lose. This is a tricky one. Let's wait out release of ref assignment and take it form there.
