Speculating and having an opinion about things is fun. Part of being human. Live a little. If this forum isn’t for sports banter and entertainment then what the hell is it for? Let’s not put people on trial for discussing things that in grand scheme of things don’t matter the least bit. Based on this thread you might think I don’t like Wiggins. Nothing could be further from the truth. This guy won a title for the Warriors last year with his defense and rebounding! He was fantastic, and I’d love to see him back on the court. I just don’t agree with the precedence the team is setting by allowing him to do this, unless again, it has something to do with the physical health of his partner or children.

Who cares? That goes both ways. Who cares about you and your stupid opinion? Are you the gatekeeper here? Policing what people say and do. Mind your own business and stay out of threads that don’t interest you.

He's probably dealing with something mental illness related and bc he has a history he may even have some sort of accommodation for it. No doubt marital issues can definitely cause a mental relapse but to say GS is allowing him paid leave to fix his marriage I don't think so

Talk about speculation! Where are you people getting this stuff about him having mental issues? I have never heard anything about him having psychological issues. Are you confusing him with Kevin Love? When I did a search on Google with Wiggins and mental illness the only thing that pops up is this thread on covers!

If I remember correctly there being an issue maybe anxiety related when he played for the Twolves back when Bulter was on the team or something another this was some time ago. But whatever even still if he's having any issues that he feels is compromising his mental health maybe it be his marriage who knows than GS is just accommodating that some jobs do. I mean why have a product out there that can't perform from a business standpoint

The whole touchy feely thing is now part of the Warriors culture. They’re the team that cares about its players, apparently to the point of sabotaging their season. But underneath it all, they are all hypocrites who are full of crap, Kerr included. They let Green punch JP and then tried to cover it up as if nothing had happened. Then when the video comes out they try to go after the guy who leaked it, as if that was the real assault. If they really had principles (which they don’t) they needed to suspend Green then and keep him out of the ring ceremony. I think that whole episode, including the organization’s response, fractured the team and messed up JP’s confidence and chemistry with the team. And now they are bending backwards for Wiggins over an undisclosed personal matter. Whatever it is, it better be worse than getting punched out by a teammate and having the world see it, and then have the guy who assaulted you in your workplace be celebrated and welcomed back with open arms without any meaningful consequence for his actions, which is what JP had to endure.

Forgot to mention one more thing. These men of integrity (Myers, Kerr, Et. al) who pretend so much to care about their players well-being then attempted to buy JP off, for his pain and suffering, and at the same time atone for their own sins, by giving him a lucrative contract; as if that would undo the psychological impact/damage not just of the punch but the organization’s response (which was to do nothing) to that punch.

Understandably it is a business there isnt much of a moral compass to be found including the sport world. Any attempt at morality is mostly self-serving.

Yes, but in this case they are not serving themselves. They are setting a bad precedent and sabotaging their season.

Yep that punch fuked up their season from the start and brought bad juju. Season hanging by a thread now. Wonder what their record would be if that leaked footage was never released and they swept it under the rug
