Well actually yesterday. Hello everybody, I wanted to introduce my self. I am new to covers and am excited to be here. BOL to you all. I am stating an NBA thread for anyone that may want to tag along, or fade, whatever :)

Last 2 years after I graduated from college I was working and doing this, but after some good success, and still being 27, I think now is the time to chase my dream.

I am mostly an NBA bettor with some NFL, NHL and MLB sprinkled in.

in 2013 I went 118-98 in NBA betting. My background is online poker/live poker. I am a tournament specialist so ill be playing poker and betting. wish me luck.

This year so far I am 12-10 in the NBA.

I am not going o create several threads as NBA is my bread and butter, but I will mix in my NHL and NFL picks if anyone cares :)

NBA action for tonight.

Mavs -13 vs the sixers. im a huge philly sports fan and am 17-2 over last 19 betting on sixers games. The sixers have historically played the mavs close, even with dreadful teams on the court. I am teasing this down 5 points and taking the mavs -8 for a easy win.

Golden state warriors -9 against a tired Nets team that played late in phoenix last night. I had the suns -4 and they came back to cover late in the game and spoiled a good road effort by Brooklyn. I like a golden state win, but it will be like 107-102.

I love love love the next play and am going 3 units on it.

Tease the raptors at home vs the bulls. Raptors +2.5 and tease the grizzlies -1.5

I love the bills tonight vs Miami +6 and I love the under at 42.5

I love it even more teasing the bills to +12  and 48.5.

this is a lock in my opinion.

But I commend you for giving it a shot... A word of advice for whatever it's worth... Heavy $line favs in hockey and teasing double digit chalk in the nba is not a good idea in the long run. In fact if your serious about doing this for a living teasers in general are a no no. I've been on both sides of this game for a long time. Good luck out there

thank you very much for the advise, I appreciate it and agree with you. I normally don't even bet this many games per night, I just really like some of the matchups out there tonight. I am fortunate in a way having been playing online poker for so long that I've built a 6 figure roll and have a poker roll that I don't mix with this one. Truth be told I am a slight winner overall in 3 years of non serious sports betting. $40k in 3 years betting 1k a game to 3k a game obviously is not enough to live off. so to make my hair fall out at a slower rate I will be playing poker as well as that is a significantly bigger edge game than this.

If you don't mind, can I pick your brain as to why teasers are bad long term? I want to understand the thinking behind it.

I like buffalo for several reasons tonight. 3-0 in their last 3 head to head matches. Buffalo 3-0 ATS last 3. Miami was severely outplayed the first time around. This is a divisional game with playoff implications so it will almost certainly be close. I am not sure that buffalo wins, I think they have a chance to. But I didn't like it enough to bet the bills ML. I think this game goes about 20-17 Miami wins. I teased the bills to +12 and also teased the under to 48.5 which I would have bet at 42.5 probably. I feel really good about this game. Note line has moved I see it at +4.5 and 41.5o/u.
