Also does it not worry you how easily they were outdone on offensive rebounds with a team that has good rebounders in Love and Thompson and even LeBron? And I know Cleveland hasn't been much better but GS also turned the ball over a ton in the conference finals. Again all this with no Kawhi and parker and Lee for half series. Even without those 3 guys SA won a lot of areas of the game and although injury riddled averaged almost 110 points a game and SA not a very offensive minded team like Cleveland. Again not debating your pick just would like your thoughts on a few things as I clearly see a lot of things cleveland can exploit but also know that there's a ton of things that GS can exploit. The other thing that I notice in your write up is that the majority of your thoughts point to how GS can exploit the Cavs defense but only a few thoughts on how GS can defend Cleveland which leads me to think the over should be the play. Only thing that worries me with that is the fact that it's game 1 but again the fact that SA was on track to score 130+ in game 1 makes me wonder how GS will come out in game 1. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

That will change. Warriors are the best defense of any team the Cavs have played.

Because good teams with top of the line coaches are sure to adjust having already committed some flaw. 

It is a GOOD thing the Warriors got bombed to start Game 1 last series. I can assure you Kerr and Brown and all the assistants are providing the players continual reminders to disallow that this time out. And at this level, with a team as elite as Golden State, it is about focus more than talent. And I trust they will be focused not to let that happen again.

Also does it not worry you how easily they were outdone on offensive rebounds with a team that has good rebounders in Love and Thompson and even LeBron?

Golden State will always have poor stats in the offensive rebounding category. They don't have the height to crash the boards like other teams and to make matters worse Bogut is gone. But they are so much better in other areas it more than makes up for it.

Who said it's not possible? I wrote up nearly a full PAGE of thread to justify laying the points and WHY.

"Sharp Money" cannot be associated with a -320 ML for the game or -275 line for the series. There is nothing 'sharp' about betting such chalk. In fact, win or lose, it's the antithesis of the definition of sharp.

I'm glad you like the eye test angle. Just watching the game and seeing how teams react and flow is invaluable. You don't have to know how to type a single OP and if you just watch the games and make a pick, you can be successful if you understand the intricacies of what you are watching and have the foresight to apply that to future a game/series.

Thanks. In this instance, since these teams met three times in the FINALS, the regular season is irrelevant to me in terms of this cap. Cleveland has zero revenge here for losing a regular season game compared to Golden State who overhauled their roster just to get tot this point and win this series agains the same team. I can assure you, those regular season games are meaningless to Cleveland (and they only played twice and Golden State was not at full strength anyway for both).

 I think the books are sick of dogs covering and Warriors win,  but don't cover as the casinos weren't built on chalk covering every game.  Do like your analysis Scalabrine, but Cavs are going to be ready to play and Lebron is still the best player on the court IMHO, this counts a lot catching 7.5 points! Warriors are better and could roll, but think it's within a TD game 1!

All you guys who wanted to take the Celtics in Game 4 +16. How did that work out given the Celtics lead the entire way through almost 3 quarters. You never sniffed that line. OF COURSE everyone perceives that they will get a better line in-game. 

But you have to sit there, at opening tip, refreshing your phone a thousand times, shutting out the world, JUST to get a line that very well may never exist.

Live betting exists for a reason: It makes the books money. Remember that. 

They DO NOT want the traditional reasoned pre-game approach with debate and discussion as you see here.

They want panicked Live Betting where you are betting in and out, hedging in and out and by the time the buzzer sounds you'll have so many bets on both sides you'll just hope to lose the juice.

Consistent live betting is a no-no. It's like a day trader. Where are they? Who do you come across or see in the news with wealth that says they are a day trader?

I want to accentuate this if you are reading this and are skeptical.

All that matters here is one thing: Win the game.

That justifies everything.

It justifies the size of this thread that I touted; it justifies the conversation and debate within; it justifies the pursuit of the cap itself.

Win the game. That's it. 

It's much like Lebron's career. Until he won, he was not even be mentioned in the conversation with the NBA greats. Lose and you are a footnote. Win? You mean something. W

Lose the game and this thread is tossed on the scrap heap of losers that lines the miasma of blown up bankrolls, that burning cash smells wafting into your nostrils.

But if you win the game, the pursuit, the research, the discussion...All of it is justified.

This is a very important game. I am here to win this game. 

I am here to have you join me. That is why I posted it.

I'm not really concerned. The series line for the Warriors is of no interest. I have no interest in laying -275 to Lebron even though I think the Warriors will win the series (which again, doesn't take a rocket scientist to determine).

We saw this before with the Spurs revenge Finals victory against the Heat if just purely taking revenge into the equation (which is powerful).

How much better is this Cavs team than that Heat team? Ok you answer they are better and Lebron is better. Agreed.

Now think of, with all the aged stars the Spurs had on that team, how much better this Warriors team is than that Spurs team was. And how many more options they have compared to last year with Durant. You think they would have went scoreless in the last 4.5 minutes last year with Curry Klay AND Durant on the floor. Klay was -45 for the series and it basically came down to the last shot for it all. He played as bad as you could play and they lost Bogut and Iggy was hampered and Green was suspended. All of that....a thing of the past right now.

This Warriors team is one of the greatest ever in terms of pure talent and options on the floor. 

They could have won 73, but why? Why kill yourself? They learned their lesson not to chase that record and even at that, they won 67 and 15 of 16 to end the year. And that was WITH Durant missing TWENTY games. 

This team is better than last year's and healthier. In that light, you have to take the Warriors every time (at a price that doesn't attract me as series can have injuries and take the entire thing down so I'll go game by game).

Jordan, in his prime, could not do that for the Bucks. And the list of teams he could do this for keeps going. Put him on the Knicks and they instantly become a playoff team. Instantly. And if Carmelo buys into playing second fiddle and Rose and Noah regain some health, with KP there already, you might, win the East. Right now. That's mind-boggling.

 If most of the LeBum retards would stop for a second and consider his numbers this year, it is considered a down year.

I will be surprised if Cavs win more then one game but the hate he gets is very hard to understand.  Guess it is what comes with being the first real superstar in social media generation.  Even though he has done a great job keeping nose clean.  Can you imagine if MJ played in this generation?  The 24 hour round clock coverage?

hey scal    nice write up       to say LeBron not selfish and to say he makes his team better than MJ is way off      for starters MJ never quit on his team    always gave maximum effort even though the stat sheet might not show it     always made his free throws when it counted most   HE got his coach FIRED    he told team to fold  thats not selfish?  he left his team to form a mini super team  to win   not  selfish?   putting your personal needs in front of everything is selfish     he holds a show to let people know where his "talents" will play      your smarter than this      LeBron  is a solid player  I never said he wasn't     mj never picked and choose his players like James  if he did he would have 10 rings 0 loses 10 finals mvp   pippin is overrated   irving way better   and if the bucks made their free throws and played smarter they would be here   would rather have mj instead of houdini to start a team any day     again   great write up  beast            good luck

Hold on. Hold on. You are conflating many parts of the conversation. 

initiating a powerplay to get a coach fired like Lebron did Brown, does not refute what I said. And what I said was he wanted to make the team around him better and did and still does.

Compare that to punching Will Purdue in the face. Compare that to also punching Steve Kerr in the face. Compare that to harassing Bill Cartwright in front of his team. Compare that to harassing Kwame Brown when he didn't live up to expectations. Even Pippen has come out of late and had some opinions of Jordan that let's just say, aren't of the highest regard.

Now on this point ALONE who wins out as the better teammate who invested in his team and wanted to make them all better (and does). Virtually everyone who plays with the guy gets better. It's insanity really. And I can go on and on.

I don't have to sit here and kneel to his alter MJ never picked his coach because he played for Phil Jackson, the coach he wanted virtually his entire career (and it's rumored he got Doug Collins fired btw). 

All in all LBJ is no saint. Both men were men of extraordinary power on and off the court because of wealth and talent. But LBJ wins out in terms of being a better team mate, investing in his team mates, and making them better more than Jordan.

I was there for IT ALL. I guarantee you are a bit to young to speak on these points with the minutia I detail here. No offense!

Irving is better than Pippen.

Ok if we start on the defensive side of the ball, Irving is an embarrassment compared to Pippen. Now you would have to argue that Irving is SO much better than Pippen on the offensive side of the ball, that he makes up for that defensive embarrassment. And during his time with Jordan Pippen during his title run he was averaging about 21 and 7. 
 

So right out of the gate, you will lose because Kyrie's averages are not so much moret, t  impressive (more points and less rebounds with an underwhelming number of assists for a PG) that you can win that argument.

In fact, just starting the argument makes it dead on arrival.

6 -0 finals   6 mvps    i read your read your opinions   i find it interesting and informative   i never said james was not a solid player    true both are powerful and influential    never stated they were not   jordan goes on any team they instantly get better   james the same  as i said he is a solid player    jordan made his teammates better     maybe his way may not be socially acceptable nowadays but his team was filled with average players who played well above their means    yes scottie  and know people view him as a top 75 all timer  but i would take kyrie over him    different times different games    i have been blessed to see great basketball with great players  great teams     i just remember jordan's response when asked if he ever wanted to join other great players   he said play with the best    "No I want to beat the best"   he took  his lumps and gave it      LBJ  left to win   and he did   kudos to him   scal   enjoy your weekend   looking forward to more of your insights      i hate typing    best of luck       side note   if you were the knicks who you drafting?    thanks again  enjoy
