If you would replace Kyrie with Jordan you'd be making a grave mistake. Byron coached Kyrie. The guy was a quitter. Byron implored him to play harder. Several times he quit on Byron. If your remember Kyrie was supposed to be the future of the franchise. Lebron was never coming back. This team would have trouble making the playoffs with just Kyrie. Championships? ECF's please. And you'd take that over Pippen in his heyday?
21 and 24 wins as the lead guy without Lebron with Byron. A quitter.
That's the point Lebron changes you! He changes everyone.
Knicks have so many problems it doesn't matter. They are a disgrace!

I use race motorcycles at the track for fun. I had the pleasure of meeting Jordan at a race event and the guy was so damn rude to me I couldn't believe it. Sure he could have had a bad day but cmon man your an idol to us 90s kids.... He is a piece of -------- Person. Personally, I don't think Jordan could bounce from team to team and always make the playoffs like LJ. But that's just my opinion..
Sorry to jump off topic in your thread Scal

Why did MJ take two years off to play baseball, I will hang up and listen to your answer.
If Jordan played now he would be as hated or more then LeBron. He was a terrible human being just we didn't see it on TMz.
You know what those theories are Ben. I wouldn't even speculate. We don't and never will have any evidence. And I can't accuse Jordan of that (gambling/mob ties).

Most competitive player ever got sick of winning? Wanted to play Baseball? 1+1=2, he was a horrific human being. He was told to fack off for a couple years and he did. I was never a fan but I can appreciate his greatness, this is what rattles me about LeBum clowns, they are missing out on enjoying a top 5 player of all time.

Same thing goes for Liberace.
I can appreciate his greatness too. He was a modern day Mozart.
And he also had a male lover (the male part is not an issue for me) 48 years younger than him (he was 16 and that IS an issue) and also had him get plastic surgery so he'd look like Liberace's son.
Another second to none talent that had aspects of their life well, to use the word disturbing is putting it mildly.
Dallas, I care of nothing but the side here. Thanks Skanless.

Scal, your boy Joey Chestnut is available on my book at
Chestnut Over/Under Dogs Eaten 70.5:
Over +160
Under -210
I love the value on the over 70.5 - would love to get your opinion!
He's going to have a problem going over this year. Last year, he was trying to regain his title (and livelihood) from Matt Stonie and did so convincingly and he ended up destroying Stonie. It's not like he's taking his foot off the gas this year but he killed Stonie by so many dogs last year, he doesn't have to get over 70 this year.
The drive isn't there. The title already sits with him (much like it sits with the Cavs, and that hurts them this year). And there really is an upper bound as to how many dogs you can down in 10 minutes. It's not like you can go to 80 or 90 etc. Humans, even the most elite competitive eaters are only so capable.
Right now I'm leaning under (poor value obviously) but I want to see if Chestnut competes in any events prior to the 4th to give us more clues.

I swear it's as if some people don't think before they express their foolish opinions.
Jordan would NOT be as hated as LeBron or hated at all. Yes he was a jerk but unlike in Kobe or Lebron's case Jordan was EXTREMELY CHARISMATIC AND GOOD LOOKING! What does looks have to do with anything? For the same reason when an ugly kid misbehaves and he's a misbehaving kid, if a good looking kid does it he's a mischievous charming kid.
Mike had an aura about him. Lebron doesn't. Lebron is ugly, he joins superteams, he's generally nowhere as likeable as Jordan. Ever listen to to the great players he robbed of championships back then? Reggie Miller, Patrick Ewing etc, they all talk with great admiration of the guy. They loved to hate him back then so did opposing fans. Whereas in Lebron's case they just hate him.
Jordan was the kind of guy that even if you hate him you secretly think he's awesome. He just had a way about him. Yes looks and charisma are apart of it but also that he was the most intensely competitive guy to ever play in the NBA. Then you have Lebron creating superteams and even then whining..we need more help. What a tool. Still, I'll give Lebron respect for the he did in Cleveland way back when he took them to the finals with a bunch of nobodies. But as far as Jordan would be as hated as Lebron if Jordan played today. That's a joke.
Refs loved Jordan. Fans loved him even opposing fans.
Watch this clip..If you don't get goosebumps looking at this guy then check yourself for a pulse.

Kobe came close to Jordan but he was a just an imitation. Kobe was awesome and charismatic too but he tried too hard to be like Jordan and it showed. Jordan was just Jordan and there will never be anybody like him again. He was a killer.
I see these threads from these kids pondering outloud who is better, Jordan or Lebron and it makes me snicker at their cluelessness. Jordan dominated in a league when big men were allowed to dominate. Can you imagine what he would do with today's rules? Damn.
When big men dominated? Big men like who? Mark Eaton, Chris Dudley, Manute Bol, Big Country Bryant Reeves and George Muresan?
Come on. The league was not full of Hakeem the Dream's bud.
Even the Bulls could only snag Luc friggin Longley as a big for their second string of their championships and he was adequate against the world of 'dominant bigs'.
You make it sound like he was dominating a world of Shaq's and Kareem's.
Pure fiction.
But continue with your mancrush! It's entertaining at least. Misguided...but entertaining.

All you guys who wanted to take the Celtics in Game 4 +16. How did that work out given the Celtics lead the entire way through almost 3 quarters. You never sniffed that line. OF COURSE everyone perceives that they will get a better line in-game.
But you have to sit there, at opening tip, refreshing your phone a thousand times, shutting out the world, JUST to get a line that very well may never exist.
Live betting exists for a reason: It makes the books money. Remember that.
They DO NOT want the traditional reasoned pre-game approach with debate and discussion as you see here.
They want panicked Live Betting where you are betting in and out, hedging in and out and by the time the buzzer sounds you'll have so many bets on both sides you'll just hope to lose the juice.
Consistent live betting is a no-no. It's like a day trader. Where are they? Who do you come across or see in the news with wealth that says they are a day trader?
love the write up Scal but disagree on the live betting input. There has been countless times where a team will start slow and you get a much better line than the opening line. However, it takes discipline (not continuing to second guess yourself) to know when the team you wanted to bet on starts hot and stays hot that you missed your opportunity and just walk away ( i.e. game 4 for all the Celtics backers). But, when you see opportunities like Boston vs Texas (MLB) when the Rangers were up 3-1 and you know it was only a matter of time I was able to absolutely hammer the Sox and the result was a 9-4 Bo Sox win
