Scal made a statement, it backfired obviously. we have all done it...people need to chill out lol
Dude,
I can't say this enough but I have to say it again.
I posted this thread at the Cavs being 3-1 to prove a point, that hedging gets very sticky when it comes down to the point where you have to outlay a lot of money (and at -230, it is far more than + money and this is in addition to any money you put out on the Bulls or Hawks series, furthering your debt). And the kid who is trying to hedge out here is having a tough time doing that.
If I posted this at 30-1 and said "Lebron won't come", THEN it backfired.
NOTHING has backfired.
The horse is coming down the stretch and the ticketholders are screaming bloody victory.
And how much have they collected? Not a SINGLE penny. And when their horse loses by a nose, how much will the book give them? That's right, they'll show them right to the door and boot them out with a swift kick.
And if they hedge, and let me be clear, their ROI is uglier than a Clydesdale's as* after it sits in it's own manure.
If the Cavs win and those 30-1's cash, THEN I will take all the berating from here to the end of time.
But that will not happen.
And when the Cavs lose, like I said, I will dance like I'm the last of the Mohicans.
Problem is that 80% of the people on this site won't understand this. Based on some of those comments, even 80% seems very optimistic.
