Old school, and I just have to say don't pay these haters any attention. Your write ups have been nothing short of brilliant, there were about 8 fouls not called on curry that would have swung this into a 15-22 point game. Easily. I took the line when it was .5 under, and did so mostly because of your write-up(s). Just wanna say in grateful for your posts, they've been wonderfully insightful and well-thought out and extremely literate considering most people on here are trolls. Looking forward to nfl season. If you ever want to catch my picks I do tennis :). Thanks again. Credit is due where the merit is deserved. Many of you owe many thanks, so ungrateful. gj =)

If you got in at 9.5 well, that is about as backdoor as backdoors come.

KC, I'm not interested in baseball but thanks for the offer. I'll focus on CFB and the NFL in the next couple months.

I have seen comments that the write up was all for nothing but for me it was a deciding factor. I had watched an interview Lebron did after game 4 and when asked about his teams play in game 4 he was very serious and focused on his answers.. when asked about his teams chances in game 5 his immediate facial reaction was one of humor as if to say we don't have a chance. He then proceeded to give a pat answer but the look was telling. I was sure I would be on Golden State game 5. Then I came on the site and saw Scal's write up and I knew for sure I was in. Luckily I got it at 8.5  as the last leg of my parlay and cashed for $3500.00 So for me it was a great ending on the basketball season. I know it ended even for you Scal but just want to say even though I'm not a follower of all your plays I appreciate the capping and the write ups because when it matches up with my own it's usually a winner. Cheers.

Well stated Scal. Bigotry by anyone of any color is reprehensible. Thanks for accurately pointing it out. Sadly, however, he will not have eyes to see it, nor ears to hear it.

Your handicapping of this game was excellent and right on the money (pardon the pun). It was cynically PETTY of JRSmith to hoist a 3-pointer with 10 seconds in the game and down 12. I've always viewed JR as a low-brow individual, and it has zero to do with his race.

Onward Scalabrine...you are a bright spot (and there are several others) in this forum filled with plenty of gutter-sniping cowards.

Pulpron, credit to you for getting 8.5. 

 personally don't play for .5 here or there (as capping on .5 extra or less in the past has only been depleted my roll, that is, I really can't remember the last time a line went from 3 to 3.5 in the NFL and I jumped on the 3.5 and it mattered. It's been years since it mattered. And worse, the 3.5 would lure me to a bet where I should have been on the other side.). But it did hurt me here. I was just overjoyed when I saw single digits. It was a square's line and Vegas should have gotten burned on the Warriors yet again. 

I can't really be mad though. I laid 9 in a finals game against the best player. It's a good exercise in staying calm and collected.

Capucha, anytime ya get a chance to score in the finals, you take it. I wasn't mad about the shot. About the push yes, but the shot itself no.

And for all those criticising JR for having the temerity to take a shot consider this:

As a rule the losing team chuck one up at the end. What have they got to lose
As a rule the team well ahead run the clock out

There are exceptions to the above, but to complain about it is just ignorant 

And finally JR has the ball. It might personally be his last NBA finals ever. Nothing to lose. What ya gonna do? Seriously?

JR delivered a 9-11 & 7-8 from way behind the arc including that 24 footer with 15 seconds to go.
