Scal, does it bother you at all that everyone and their brother is on Detroit today? I have read the whole thing and i am completely convinced that Detroit is the play. I am just asking as i dug a hole and am getting ready to pull the trigger on a pretty big bet (uncharacteristic for me) But your plays are the ones that come closest to the sure thing so this came at the right time (I hope :)) Thanks.....always appreciate your write-ups.
I forgot to add: Everyone is on Detroit and the line is staying the same. It doesn't have to mean anything but i am wondering what your opinion is.

It doesn't bother me.
In fact, I rarely look at consensus percentages for games I write up.
They have no effect on what will transpire on the court tonight...absolutely none.
6 is a number they HAVE to get over. It's a small molehill. If it's close, Detroit will win but 6 will present a problem.
I expect Detroit to come out and have a 10 point lead at the half.
The one thing we lose is playoff motivation which the Cavs still have. That is GREAT thing to have for bets late in the season.
All we have here is the law of national embarrassment and EVERYTHING else in the OP, but no playoff implications.
The bottom line is this, if I am going to lay 6 points in a game, no stone can be left unturned. I don't think I have any more to offer for a Detroit side and therefore no stone remains.
Therefore Detroit - the points is the play. There is not a single poster of the thousands on covers who can offer a convincing side for the Bucks to counter what I just wrote about the Pistons.
We have covered all the bases. Let's get over this number right now!

Vegas knows a lot. I'll stand face to face with them with this one. Let them move lines like magic carpets Aladdin rides around on. I'll grab a number and profit off it.

One last question, is there any value in playing 1h as well as the full game? Pistons should really come out aggressively. Sorry if it's been answered already.

Great article. Hope it is a winner this time. Lol. Will not put hard earned cash on pistons or bucks.
You are more of a NBA blogger than a handicapper/gambler :) BOL
Thanks.
I dare you to waste your time finding not only one "blogger", but one poster on any board, anywhere, on any gambling forum who who will walk a blind bettor, who never placed a bet in his life, from start, as to explaining where exactly both teams are at this point in the season, what their motivation is, how they will respond after a game, to finish, gauging exactly how much liability we can take on a spread.
For god's sake I'm giving that bettor a piggy-back right from his hotel room, down the elevator, through the food court, past the poker room, circling around the bar where the busty blonde is sitting ("Hey. Names Scalabrine. I cap basketball games you dig? Buy me a drink and I'll give you a pick)", into the Sportsbook, to the window, inside his wallet, mouthing the bet for him, using marionette strings attached to his hand to put his money across the counter and taking the ticket for him to put it in the top right pocket of his flannel shirt.
Now all it has to do is WIN and the mission is accomplished.
(Bagger I took your joke one step beyond I like it so much)

"More than a blogger but no less of a man"
It will make a hell of a read.
