Always an excellent read and correct more often than not Much appreciate not only the great picks, but the model layout for handicapping an nba game. You're the man!

You have some great ways at looking into that. You have another angle on it than the regular square capper. Keep it. What you find is relevant. And as long as you can get 60% of 'em right its great.

Can't hit more than that!
And as a fan, you knew exactly what this game meant beyond the average capper. I felt the same way and when I started coming up with reasons why they should win (and that was all we needed with this spread), I wasn't running out of answers (actually had to stop writing and edit myself). That's happened to me only once before capping a game making my confidence level very, very high.

Thanks for recognizing that. I try to lay it out in what will be an enjoyable, but more importantly convincing format.

Ironically squares pound the short lines and sides I post with me but squares are what keep the lights on in the casinos. They have to get a piece of the pie. Last night was a big piece!

I am interested in your writeup for the OKC game tomorrow, wether you play it or not. Knicks blow out win and OKC losing SU @ Orlando coupled with the early start.....Very interesting indeed.

As a rule, I never lay 9 10 11 point spreads so that rules OKC out as a side.
That is the problem really. I don't like to be limited to one side (the Knicks in this situation) simply because the spread is too large.
Then you throw in the early start time and ask if you even can trust the Knicks +10 (maybe a little lower after the Nuggets blowout).
Still the Magic loss was quite disturbing and the Thunder may be sinking into a bit of a lull here after winning so many games recently.
For the Knicks, I'd love the 10 if they lost to the Nuggets last night but they were the ones doing the blowing out.
All in all, it's not a game I will post but I simply don't lay 10 anymore so the Thunder are out of the question regardless of the result. I'd be more interested in teasing this game to bring the Knicks closer to 15 points if anything so if they do get blown out, you still cover with the extra padding.

Good stuff. I'm actually thinking NY can pull the SU win here. NOBODY will want any piece of that action with Durant on the other side, but add a little Knicks confidence with home court and if Durant doesnt have 45 NY can stay in this game.....Its not like OKC is unbeatable, theyve just had a hell of a run. Hell, they lost focus vs the Magic.....Line should be +450ish, but I wouldnt be surprised if this line is 6 or 7 as OKC was just a 9.5 fav vs Orlando....

True, but that was a 9.5 fav AT Orlando which translates to a 15.5 pt. fav. at home.
Looking at that, Knicks should easily be 10, but again, blowing out the Nuggets will get you a point in your favor as they would be an excellent Eastern Conference team, if they were there.
I was surprised at how OKC lost the game last night. Really a total breakdown on that last sequence for a team that doesn't make those mistakes. "Eyebrow-raising" although I will say the Magic have won 4 in a row at home which is more than shocking (albeit to 3 awful teams before that) so they are not pushovers at home as of late.
Still the Knicks CANNOT rest on their laurels after a single win. The goal is to get to the all-star break STRONG and that is a 2-1 record at least AND be competitive.
So the win has to come here or against the Kings, both tall orders if the Kings roster is not out sick like last night.
OKC is the 'taller' order obviously but the Knicks HAVE to come in there competitive.
My problem with that? You mentioned it. The start time which throws this game into complete flux. If it were a 7:30 start I'd take the points. It's not. That is a big problem. I'll probably tease it if anything. I'm not playing it straight up.
