Please GucciCapper. Don't do it. Do not lay points again with the Pelicans. Yes, GucciCapper knows that the Pelicans have been horrendous. GucciCapper decided to go up the food chain one last time and back these Pelicans. Did you know the only predators to the Pelican is a cat, coyote or human? GucciCapper will make a solid argument that the Jazz were the human predator and the Timberwolves were the coyotes. So what are the Spurs? Not in the food chain. GucciCapper thinks you seriously lay the -2.5 or 3 points with the Pelicans for the following two reasons.
1) 3 games in 4 nights for the Spurs - Guys, the Spurs will be playing their third game in four nights. Now GucciCapper knows this isn't something to always back, but the thing is that the Spurs played last night at home and now go on the road. If you just simply look at the box score, you would assume the Spurs blew out the Wizards last night. But GucciCapper watched the whole game and it was a lot closer than the score says. Add travel now as the Spurs go a ONE game road trip and GucciCapper thinks this is a horrible spot for the Spurs. Who would like to do this travel? Be home for 2 games, go on the road for 1 and then go back home for 5 more games. GucciCapper thinks the Spurs will be very flat tonight against these Pelicans.
2) Losers of 8 out of 9 - These Pelicans are looking really bad these days. As you know, GucciCapper laid 8 points with them on the road against the Timberwolves and they straight up lost by 10 with both Timberwolves best players out. Usually GucciCapper hates backing a team coming home for the first game after a long road trip, but GucciCapper has a feeling these Pelicans will be ready to play.
So there you have it boys. These Pelicans already beat the Spurs by 3 at home earlier this year and they were laying 5 points. Now they are only laying 2.5. GucciCapper is quite confident that these Pelicans will play a great game tomorrow and easily cover this spread.
