If the NBA is rigged how does that happen?

its rigged in the sense that they don't care about tv ratings and entertainment. Canada is a larger market than Miami though so it balances out


but the fact you guys trust the talking heads the sage steeles, the charles barkleys hyping up cleveland v miami is the problem in itself. their job is to deceive gamblers.

That's ball, the line between makes and misses is very thin.

Well there is the margin of loss for a NBA Finals game to be considered. Would you have ever predicted such a large difference of scores between these teams before Game One in all three games so far? I believe this is sparking the crazy talks. Also seeing an MVP looking lost on the floor at times isn't help this matter either.

I agree , toronto needed a boost in their market... And without any all stars on that squad they needed a boost from playing stars like dwade and lebron... Otherwise Canada may really lose interest. And with the us economy shrinking fast,, they are grabbing anything they can take.. Now that lebron has left Miami , he's able to clean up the mess for dwade.. Which  he may be retiring any moment and miami fans are losing interest though it seems they tried... miami is playing just good enough to make the playoffs so they can appear to be a legit playoff contenders... Miami, cleveland toronto playoff tickets go for a pretty dime,, squeeze a extra game here or there could means millions eventhough with that many hands in the pie a game 5 can go to game 6 or 7 in any series... 

Theres many ways to grab attention as there are ways to write a script... 

I feel its been a strange year yet it makes sense... With all the talk about the Nba being rigged through the years,, they had to get a new comisioner to take the heat,, reminds me of the american system... Bush didnt work so well,, we have the well spoken good looking and smart president.. Not that it changes anything,, but it keeps the public at bay... The funny part is ,, the commisioner came out to say that the league isnt rigged and they try their best to keep calls fair and consistant.. LOL.. What a tool he is... Yet they can do what ever they want as long as the money is still flowing in... 

What i saw 

Game 1 Gs got ALL the calls,, Lebron knew it they just didnt care..
Lebron hides in a little corner and doesnt shoot... And when he's about to shoot he travels.. And when lebron gets the calls,, he misses the freethrows.. And when he gets a wide open lay up,, they dish it out to love at the 3 that can't hit a shot for the life of him... And if that doesnt work,, he dribbles the ball very high so that it can get stolen... 

Game 2 Repeat game 1..

Game 3 Cleveland got all the calls..  Curry decides not to shoot.. And when he does he misses it... game is ending ,, and they dont even care because they ALL know the script before this whole series even started...  Curry missing freethrows? But to make it interesting,, GS broke records this year,, and curry was down 3-1 against OKC to make it seem like curry is superman,, well we know what superman did in football last year agaist noodle arm did we not? Well that's the script and it sells... 

I will admit.. Calls are all in favor of the home teams right in your face highdefinition style... Yet it is fair because each team will play at least two home games... They dont make it up in the same game thats all... And if this doesnt happen.. They make it up the following few years if you know what i mean... purity 101... Revenge,, stories...

And for anyone that tells you games are not rigged or scripted ,, beaware he either has no clue.. Or he doesnt want you to lose interest in the game,, whether it be buying into the commericials or vegas trying to get their cut...

The easiest way to find out if a game is rigged by the numbers... Start charting the second half lines and see what happends... You would be suprised how much statistics can give itself away... Here's another example... I know home court advantage in the nba is not worth anywhere near double digits unless if its in Goldenstate... You have 25-30 wins by Gs,, then the opposing team wins by 25-30.. That's a 50 point difference isnt it? LOL

I disagree with the bumped thread saying that playoffs is not fixed. The playoffs are the most fixed games of the year. Nobody would ever beat GS 4 of 7 if they didn't fix most of the games...

Not to jump on the bandwagon but it's similar to a court where the prosecutors are in the court room day in and day out with the judge. Nba refs are paid by the nba and sometimes bosses tell employees to oversee certain things . What we need is a 3rd party officiating

I always talk about how games are rigged, after I win.

What does winning or losing have to do with stating the obvious?

Unless your key word was "complain"....I know for certain I am not complaining at all!

You make some valid points but I would have to disagree.
The crooked ref Donaghy you mentioned And all The people whom profited from his rigging games were Winners and they ALL KNOW THE GAMES WERE RIGGED....
Its not hard to accept that refs work for the league and have a way they want to call games.... There have been refs that have come out and showed bias towards other players .Ex Tim Duncan on the bench getting a Tech from Joey Crawford. some call it bad officiating others call it Rigging.. Give the opposition an unfair advantage,,,,Steve Javie has a video up on youtube where hes telling AI hes going to make it tough on him because of the fan interaction... Refs have attitudes and their own interest....

We need to define rigged. I don't believe the players are in on it because they earn enough and they all want that ring. And I believe at least one would whistle blow if they tried to buy ALL the players. It is certainly possible that refs are requested to favour a team but they can only determine a result in a close game

The real reason this debate is unresolvable in NBA is because the ref has a disproportionate input in the modern game compared to other sports. He can consistently give or deny scoring shots throughout a game, due to the high number of fouls. In no other sport is this true except perhaps NFL where the same debate rages on

Betting on the refs as 3ball does is NOT the same as saying it is rigged

And other NBA officials who got nailed by the irs trading in first class plane tickets for coach seats and pocketing the difference.

I don't see how anyone in their right mind can say the games are on the up and up.

Officials of all sports have proven themselves untrustworthy.

Granted iv come to the conclusion that no games have been fixed this year in the NBA playoffs
Books are taking it on the chin.
Only ones getting hurt are sharps.
This isn't the NFL
I can see a ton more sharp money being wagered than square money from the common gambler.
Maybe they are trying to clean out the sharps or put a huge dent in their bankroll before the NFL and college football season start.

I am the absolute biggest believer that sports are rigged.
I have posted time and time again on it.
Put out numerous links showing proof of it.

These NBA playoffs can't be fixed for one reason
No one but the smart bettors are losing.

Squares are having their day.
In the end it will crush them in the future
They will become like crackheads chasing that first high.
That first high being the devestation they have left in their path destroying the sports books in these NBA playoffs.
49 favorites have covered the spread
23 dogs have covered the spread.
If it was in reverse
The public would be looking at 49 dogs and 23 favorites.

Isolated or even numerous examples of refs being paid to influence a certain way IF THEY CAN is something that is believable and has been proved of course

But WHY would ALL players agree to be bought including multi millionaires who have chased a ring all their lives and have more than enough money?And in such a way that NONE of them have EVER exposed this racket?

The specific scenario I've outlined is simply not credible
