I almost got the 1-point Heat win, but pile of Manure had to barrel down the court out of control and turn the ball over so Ray Allen could clip me at the line.
I was yelling "foul foul foul" there at the end girl I was watching with at bar who is huge Heat fan says "oh yeah, you need them to win by 2". Think I will propose

Despite what I proposed in this thread's initial post, wild horses couldn't get me to the window to put one penny on these gutless Heat bit.ches here at halftime.
I just re-read that now. Even in the chaos of a packed Vegas sportsbook, I'm still pretty funny, and I stand by that sentiment I felt at halftime. I'm still not sure how the Heat are still alive.

So now What Mr. B? My gut is telling me Duncan won't continue and score 50 points..
That was a good halftime call by suwoo9. Duncan had 25 points at halftime, scored his last point on a free throw with 4:31 to go in the 3rd, and wasn't heard from again after that.

He gave us all of his back ground reasoning to make 1stH, 2H, and FG plays.
But, this game is ever-changing, and bator changes with what he sees.
It is a "fluid" situation.......we are lucky to have his input.
Thank you, HiHoldem, and yes, sports betting is always a fluid situation. When I wrote my post on Tuesday morning, I meant every word of it, but then seven hours passed. And the game began. And I watched the first half. And I watched with a mixture of amazement and disgust as the Heat crumbled like coffee cake in the final minutes of the half. And then I made a different decision.

I think Bator is being honest and I appreciate it. There are not a lot of ppl or any that I know of on this site that will admit that they changed their thinking and are going to bet a different option than previously discussed. I don't understand why you ridicule him or her for this. Makes no sense.
Thanks

It certainly feels like the Heat will now win game 7........especially if you believe in momentum, home crowd, and what NOW seems to be fate!
The American Airlines Arena in Miami just became San Antonio's Shea Stadium. They let Game 6 (and the championship) slip away a lot like the excruciating and impossible way the Red Sox did in 1986. Welcome to a lifetime of what might have beens, Spurs fans.

Ginobli also took about 5 steps before he got fouled and was completely out of control.
Wrong. He was driving to the hoop. That is not 'out of control.'
I watched it several times on DVR. He took his first step on his dribble (where Allen made contact) and then took two legal steps forward as he was being mauled by Allen. The extra steps looked like a travel because when you have a guy hanging onto at the end and reaching in the whole way, yeah, you think you're gonna hear a whistle and the steps look like they are in slow motion.
And even if you want to debate the travel, a foul could have been called on Allen the second Manu comes in contact with him, and that was on his first step.
Ending was typical for a game 6 in the finals and a megastar player needing a desperate win.

get a life dude you are so way out there on your bullshit it's pathetic. Spurs gave the game away. + the game was in Miami did you expect anything else. Spurs choked deal with it
Spurs gave nothing away.
A foul is a foul is a foul. Pop decided to play on, wisely.
He had Manu driving and one of the worst defenders in the league on him in Allen. I'd take that every time. Pop did and Allen reached in and then held Manu's arms down. 102-101 spurs or 101-101 tie and a 2nd Ot after 2 FT's. Instead? Game 7.
Bettors are used to this. You have to beat the favorites and the refs. Most of the time, it's too much. That's the main fear one has in taking a Spurs series bet.

Not true. This was like Buckner touching first base and the ref calling Wilson safe. Anyhow, I still think justice will prevail in game 7. Heat were all over the place needing threes from Jacksonville with their eyes closed and a heaping teaspoon of ref goodwill to get another game.

Totally agree and I just love how commentators are told not to carry on and on and on about these calls so people are not awaken to obvious dirty NBA referee and Administrative plans to extend series and thereby increasing revenue from the Game.
Yeah, the NBA is such a clean sport and has such great stars like Leroy James. I don't know why he doesn't have a fro either and has to look like a english student from China whenever he wears those spectacles.
He is such a clean player when he sets screens too. Players should really stop bleeding and getting broken noses because that is not what Leroy wants to do.
Even van Gundy said it was a clear foul.
And all this doesn't even touch on whether Danny Green was fouled! (A foul called most of the time in that spot). Instead? Refs swallow the whistle again....

Say Miami was up 3-2 in the series... On that ginobli drive is a foul called? Absolutely I say. I had the cheat 2H so I am thrilled no foul was called as I wanted to win my bet and see a gm7. Just was thinking if heat was up 3-2 is a foul called?

Mr.. Bator I am sorry for being rude to you sir. I let my emotions get the best of me. You are one of the best cappers on Covers and I am sorry for being a jerk. Gl in the rest of this series and in NFL..

Of course. And is the bosh foul called? Of course.
Bosh puts an entire body on him before he blocks it. No foul there. Heat win! (Chalmers ear to ear grin).
If Danny green just throws the ball straight up without Bosh getting a hand on it would be even more evident it was a foul.
Anyhow, this is what Spurs ML bettors feared; the refs doing what they do late in theses series for the megastars.
It was expected really.
I calmly sipped a diet coke the entire final minute, unsurprised by any of it.
Ten years ago, I would have made a Picasso of soda foam on the wall while crane kicking my laptop through the TV.

Look at the Bosh play at :42. Bosh jumps into him (first part of foul), their hips meet like they are salsa dancing (second part of foul) before Bosh touches the ball and Green pulls the ball back because he knows he can't allow Bosh to block it first, and then Bosh who needs to give the shooter an opportunity to land on his feet (third part of foul), is moving into him and off goes Green into the sidelines like a trash bag to a street corner.
This is 5 potential points taken from the Spurs. And it really is 7 because they had to foul Allen on the Manu non-call.
So the refs potentially screw the Spurs out of 7 potential points to end a game and the Heat 'win' by three.
This is the NBA folks.
This is what you have to contend with when you bet these games...
Any experienced bettor knows this is how it goes down. Spurs ML backers and Spurs 2nd half backers just thought they'd be so far out in front they wouldn't even let the refs work their magic.

so Mr. Bator i guess this is the whole ideal situation we had correct? Spurs losing game 6 and now unloading in game 7? i still like the spurs to win the championship so i am still sticking with my gut. they should have had that game yesterday but something magical happened with the heat in that one. i HIGHLY doubt they will have that magic again in back to back games. as you can see spurs play complete basketball and i guarantee you POP will not let game 7 slip away like manu's turnovers.
DUNCAN will win MVP he has been the rock and most consistent player on both sides of the ball.

Reminds of TX/Cards WS, bottom of the 9th and TX one strike away from being world champions! Then game is tied and Cards win in extra innings. TX loses two years in a row, never gets back a la the Buffalo Bills of the NFL.
Will Spurs bounce back, I don't think so. LeBron will stamp his greatness. Ray gets ring no. 2, Wade gets ring no.3, Bosh and co. gets their two or one. Just my feeling.

I still like my comparison to the Red Sox falling apart in 1986, but okay, if you want to reason that the Spurs were the victim of a bad call or non-call, then we can also compare last night's paralyzing defeat to the St. Louis Cardinals' loss in Game 6 of the 1985 World Series in Kansas City, when Don Denkinger badly blew a call at first base which denied the Cardinals their rightful Series victory. The next night, with their hearts still ripped out of their chests, the Cardinals lost Game 7, 11-0.

Nope! The ideal situation was for the Spurs to not go all-out for the clincher last night, but instead let the Heat have their fun by limiting Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili's minutes and quietly "throwing" the game, thus setting themselves up for what I truly believe would have been a very solid SU win on Thursday. Instead, the Spurs shot their load and in return got saddled with one of the most unbelievably painful and wrenching losses in the history of a league finals potential clinching game (and that includes baseball and hockey, too). In my opinion, the result of Game 7 is now a foregone conclusion. The despised Heat will win their second straight NBA title.
