Possible, but I think the better play is under 2nd half, only chance for jazz pull off an upset is to play defense

Buy out was there.  Mitchell injury solidified it.  Jazz are garbage without him.    Very Jekyll and Hyde team.

Thanks, Eyer. But I couldn't leave on a losing note if I wanted to. Not in my DNA. 
This loss stings (maybe worse than the Falcons fumbling 3 times in the red zone) because despite the Mitchell injury (which you can't cap) I feel the Jazz still should have won this game: that is how awful and out of sorts the Lakers were (as I predicted they would be). 24 Turnovers! and the Jazz manufacture only 14 points??!!

The other problem was that the Jazz were equally bad and possibly hungover. 19 turnovers which the Lakers converted to 27 points!! Flip those numbers and the Jazz win and cover with ease. I try to learn from such losses and if we compare the Spurs success (whom I also backed) to the Jazz failure (two teams that I thought were in favorable spots), I think we can learn something.

1) This was the first time the young Jazz team had to spend Thanksgiving on the road (they had not been on the road 2013), unlike the Spurs who have been there and done that.

2) Instead of landing in Indiana (like the Spurs) these guys landed in LA. Also bad if any of these young guys are into partying. I can imagine with the night life being pretty dead in Utah, these guys probably relish any and all opportunities on the road (even on Thanksgiving).

3) The Jazz coach is no Pop. He couldn't press the right buttons in a game that was there for the taking. None of his players rose to the occasion to make a few buckets even though the star out theory should have been in effect here.    

All this to say, although Mitchell not playing was a big blow (spacing wise, scoring wise, etc) the Jazz should have still won and/or covered against a Laker team that was handing them the game for three quarters.

Hope you hit that under, buddy. I thought it was a great call. 112 (for the second half) was an absurd number the way those teams were playing. Unfortunately, I don't do over/under.

Yes I did and I add a bit more on lakers -2.5 at HT, it’s a gift without Mitchell 

btw, don’t overlook this lakers, of course from a betting perspective, I don’t suggest to keep chasing them, their ats record won’t be good because of LBJ and inflated line 

but they seem play better n better and will be even better at later stage and I’m sure they will make the playoffs this season
