Claxton, Ayton, or Williams should be available for trade

If Williams is healthy, would be a killer roster. 

The funniest part of all this is.. jimmy butler is still a HEAT!! lol how pissed is he right now that pit Riley wouldn’t even let him go for a bag of chips.

idk if the peanuts really play into it here because ad plays more into mavs style of play then donchick did but i could be wrong, kid was a excellent pg when he was playing jj was a good shooter

That and I'm sure you've all seen what happens in big games where the refs don't reward his non-stop flopping and foul baiting (ie. Finals games against Boston).

Pretty much this - AD wouldn't be traded unless he demanded out; but more than likely it was LeBron making the Lakers make moves behind the scenes so he can try to chase another ring or 2 before he retired.

I think AD is happy right now. Lebron is literally a cancer to play with. He has the final say in every trade and gets his teammates traded if they rub him wrong. 

AD now gets to play with a former teammate of LeBron kyrie and I’m sure he’s excited to tell him how happy he is to finally be departed from the queen.

Lakers did pretty good tonight in New York without AD. He is glass and always hurt. Luka is only 25 and Davis is 32 soon. I will take that trade all day if I am the Lakers. 

Exactly. This is ridiculous. He is a top 5 player and a brand onto himself! If you are in the business of making money you can’t do any better. This would be like trading Iverson in his prime because he didn’t like practice. Even the Sixers weren’t that stupid!

I think the NBA is in serious trouble. Ratings are tanking. The product is terrible, unwatchable most nights. They needed to inject life into the league ASAP and what better way than sending one of the biggest global stars to their most popular franchise. That’s my theory. This deal saves the season for them and keeps people watching until they figure out how to fix the product.

 Idk if this trade can be compared to any other in history of the NBA.  It wasn't even like Dallas asked teams around the league to submit their best offer, they straight up called the Lakers specifically and asked them if they wanted their franchise player  like Wtf??? and all they got back was 32 yo AD and a 1st (I know Max Christie too, but that doesn't help justify it)...it's that reason right there why i think this trade needs to be investigated, but Silver has to be doing backflips Luka will be wearing a Lakers jersey for the next decade  

The Lakers were (likely) looking at an early playoff exit this year and Lebron's retirement tour next season, but just had another franchise hand them a top-5 player for nothing....stuff like this is why i never laugh or mock anyone who thinks this league is rigged

I think there’s more to the story behind Luka.

Kidd must of been very critical of him and his conditioning but somewhere amongst those lines Luka must’ve of had a fallout with the mavs organization. Probably gave them the middle finger and told them he’d like to be traded. These type of trades don’t happen unless your star player has a huge fallout behind the scenes that can’t be fixed. Considering how jimmy butler has tried to sabotage his way out of Miami and still can’t get traded.. Luka’s been of been very bad.

however I don’t think Luka solves the nba viewership issues.

the nba has to go through a huge and dramatic change. Some of the traits that Luka has are some of the nbas issues.

the constant settle for 3 point shot and no defense is why people don’t want to watch the sport anymore. They need to bring defense and physicality back to the game. The refs need to stop with the bs and let the players play.

Yup. Agree with everything. Silver will not investigate because he is backing this deal. They could have gotten a king’s ransom for Luka. Remember what the Suns gave Brooklyn for an over-the-hill Durant? This is a joke of a trade and the “reporters” on ESPN are pretending this is all real.

 Mikal Bridges went for 4 unprotected 1st rounders....Dallas got 1 for Luka .  There is some talk or at least 'tea leaves' coming out now from some reporters insinuating that Dallas GM Nico Harrison is good friends with Lebron and that Lebron's son Bronny considers Nico Harrison to be 'like an uncle' to him LMAO  

This past summer when Bronny entered the draft Rich Paul made that 'uncle' comment and said that "if the Lakers passed on Bronny at pick #55, then Nico Harrison would draft him at #58.
