For Wild Card ties MLB lists no plan. This year is an amazing year for it.
3-way tie in the NL: S.F., NYM, StL is trouble enough for MLB...
But worse is a 6-way Tie in the AL:
Tor BJ's (83-69) Remainder going 3-7 Final record: 86-76
Det Tigers (82-70) Remainder going 4-6 Final record: 86-76
Balt O's (82-71) Remainder going 4-5 Final record: 86-76
Hou Stros (82-71) Remainder going 5-4 Final record: 86-76
Sea M's (80-72) Remainder going 6-4 Final record: 86-76
NY Yanks (79-73) Remainder going 7-3
Final record: 86-76
The key series for this nightmare is the NYY @ Tor 4-game set this weekend. NY must win at least 3.
It's all up to MLB's commissioner Rob Manfred. He can elect to use a random lottery.
Or he can get fancy and seed the teams 1 thru 6 based on combined Win %age vs. other 5; or based on run differential; etc.
The bottom 4 teams will play on Monday, each winner advancing to the next rounf to play the top 2 teams on Tuesday - with those teams playing on the road against Monday's winners). Then the winners of Tuesday's matches become the final wild-card teams, playing in the wild-card game on Wednesday.

3-C Monte's quite a card. And Psychologist for Snake. Montero must play a role on a Cubs october roster, even though that would mean carrying 3 catchers — Jason the Ham, who's always lousy post-AS break, can and should be cut, au last year's BJ's Buerhle. Easy move for Maddon and the Cubs' front office.
3-C Monte was backstop for Jake's historic Cy run last season; this year's Jake/Miggy posts 2.83 ERA. Move to a contrary, catcher Contreras, and Arrieta’s ERA balloon's up to 4.50 with kid Wilson.
Cubs' 2 righty plus one lefty catcher Monte can aid splits for hitting opposing pitchers, but it's the Cubs' ERA leading pitching who'll see the most gain:
David Ross catches Jon Lester strong since forever; Kyle Hendricks has a 1.19 ERA w/ Willson Contreras; So 3 catchers in 3 games spells familiarity & success.

Rifle Ron Jaworski called out Big-Pay-Jay: "Anyone could see just by watching their mechanics, Wentz looked like the 11-year veteran and Cutler looked like the rookie."
At the same time, Rifle Ron said nothing about the sex tapes Cutler holds against the Bears Big Brass.
Dak of Dallas teaches a lesson to the Bears for passing him up the several times they did with their several draft choices... Sex Tapes deal means no threat to Jay Cutler via a Draft/ Trade.
Dak 5 TDs in a route of da Bears. Dallas -13.5 & OVER 44.

Tennessee D has been stout & pretty efficient, limiting foes to two total offensive touchdowns. Oakland’s defense gave up 1,000 yards w/ avg 8 yd/carry, and an avg of 4.5 yards per carry and 113.5 yards per game to RBs.
Murray & Henry both will get a piece of Oak and possibly combine for 300+ yards. And that will help out the passing game of Marcus Mariota and if Delanie Walker plays, look for them to score 2 or 3 TDs.
Tennessee will shut down Oakland's popular Wide Receivers & Carr who seems like he had some Luck in last year's NFL play.

DAL = DAK —> DEZ....DAM (duh) Three letter 'D' words dah Bears will suffer badly !
(487) Chicago Bears (488) Dallas Cowboys
Prop bet on the Sunday Night Football
Dak Prescott who has poise in the pocket and SEC-proven great decision making - enough to beat Alabama !!! He has made ZERO turnovers !!!
Dallas is back to running the football more because they have the Ohio State stand out star Ezekiel "Zeke" Elliott who dah Bears can't and won't stop — so this will allow the passing game to be wide open... Dak to Dez to do what he does for TDs
Note that the rookie QB has no TD's, so either he does it now or never on PRIME TIME TV !!!
DEZ is the target of choice for all NFL teams, so DAK to DEZ TD ==> YES (-110)

Louisville Cardinals at Clemson Tigers 5:00 PM PST, Saturday, 1 October 2016 Clemson Memorial Stadium, in Clemson, South Carolina
Both teams are talented with highly skilled and strong players - but they can turn into seriously mean brawlers, and as both are 4-0 for the year and play the same division this would normally be a very, very low scoring game.
But Lamar Jackson is NOT normal. He is exceptional. He's at least twice as good in passing and four times as good of a scrambler and 10 times as good a runningback as Dee Dee Bridgewater (the now sidelined with injury QB for the Minny Vikings). Don't forget just what D.D. did as Louisville's QB vs. Florida in a bowl, a couple of year's back, when Florida was an SEC powerhouse and were really good (Fla beat a great FlaSt. that year easy).

1.) Lamar has more TD's by himself than all but four QBs (three of whom are in unbalanced, offensive teams, namely Cal, TexTech, Wash, along w/ Drew Lock, MIZ) and has engineered more TD's than many TEAMS have! Lamar averages 10.6 Yards/Attempt for 1330 total yds! In comparison, no-slouch Watson for Clemson owns #'s 6.6 Y/A & 996 yds, respectively. Lamar's crazy legs and acrobatic fullspeed cuts and spin moves have frozen stiff a ton of defenders, thereby getting the Cardinals' TE's & WR's wide open a lot, thus the 10 yard healthy chuncks.

Some six sexy points to consider:
1.) Lamar has more TD's by himself than all but four QBs (three of whom are in unbalanced, offensive teams, namely Cal, TexTech, Wash, along w/ Drew Lock, MIZ) and has engineered more TD's than many TEAMS have! 2.) No one defender can tackle Lamar one-on-one, and when teams keep seeing that, they go for the gang-tackle: this clumps up zones, and defenders must commit early - all in Jackson's favor, and his defense feels less pressure such that Louisville can guess more often, stunt & blitz. Most teams don't get this luxury vs. last year's #2 team.

3.) When Clemson's speed fails them, and fail it most certainly will, they'll double team Lamar, most probably each and every down assigning a shadow to key on him, but Lamar is in possession of uncanny farfield vision; he has and will find and hit the open men. His nearfield vision is probably also eagle-eyed since, as aforesaid. nobody can tackle him. Not even in "Death Valley."

4.) Last year Clemson caught the Cards on a short week of preperation playing on Thursday, after the Cards lost by one TD to Auburn to begin the year, and then lost an even closer game 31-34 to an excellent Houston (likely candidate to enter the BIG XII conference very soon), whereas Clemson, in stark contrast to Lou's schedule, played two utter cupcakes Wofford (+35 pts) and then the following Saturday played Appal. State (+21 pts). This year's scheduling provides far less easy advantage to Clemson and should give Louisville a KO puncher's chance to return the favor, giving the host a home loss.

5.) Clemson opened as a -3.5 to 4 pt favorite. Tonight, Clemson is a 2 point home dog.
As a home dog, Clemson is 9-15 Overall, 13-10-1 ATS, and 8-11-1 Over/Under in these type home-dog games. Clemson's last loss as a home dog came on a Saturday, in 2013, October 19th to be exact, and grabbed +4.5 pts. They weren't enough: Clem scored twice, 14 - 51 Fla St.

Cities that are desperate to land an NFL franchise, wind up letting the NFL franchises' billionaire owners make the municipalities pay out the nose for a brand new stadium.
Oakland taxpayers wouldn't fork over their cash, electing to spend it on schools, hospitals and city services instead. So Davis will just move his Raiders, in order to grab cash.
NFL owners justify taxing citizens to subsidize themselves, claiming "new jobs" and "improved infrastructure" and the other "economic activity" that will ensue. West Virginia's Econ-Prof. Brad Humphreys' in-depth studies have proven that a new stadium brings “no economic benefit.” All it does is move municipal monies to an NFL team, when a city's monies could have gone elsewhere for the city's own collective good. The NFL owners' claimed "benefits" are always way overstated and fictitious on purpose. And so the economic rationales for a new stadium in Vegas are flat-out bogus, but the taxes on the citizens will be real and the highest ever squeezed out of a city's citizens.
Nevada's Gov. Sandoval made up the "Southern Nevada Tourism Infrastructure Committee last year to chart what infrastructure improvements would keep tourism humming in Las Vegas. The majority of its 11 members were from the casino industry, including the president of two properties belonging to the Sands Corp., whose Chairman & CEO is one Sheldon Adelson, now one of Vegas' most powerful men. He just bought out the Las Vegas Review-Journal last year to sway the public on this "great for the public in general" deal. LVRJ is by far the biggest newspaper in Vegas. So now LVRJ will no longer report on the synagogue sessions wherein Adelson met with Davis. The deal they plotted has the Raiders offering to put up $500 million for a new stadium — most of which would have to come from the NFL — and Adelson would contribute $650 million, and the final slice of $750 million must come from Clark County, and thus Vegas. What Adelson gets for his $650 million was not divulged.
Next, this group went to the Las Vegas Tourism Committee, which included one of the presidents in Adelson’s companies who forced its hand-picked board to totally back every aspect within the new stadium idea, then promptly commissioned an "economic study." This fake study concluded, of course, that the combo of a small increase in the hotel tax plus an upsurge in economic activity due to the new stadium would cover the county’s $750 million burden.
They're pretending that new tourists to Las Vegas would pay everything via a "hotel tax" — so NOT Las Vegas taxpayers. But it's improbable that at least one-third of the 65,000 fans at a game would not be Las Vegans but out-of-towners who'd stay in a hotel for 3.2 days and spend $375 million each year.
Thus, at least 217,000 people each year must fly to Vegas just to watch the Raiders play football. Even if that many seats could be set aside just for tourists, the LVTC's econ study is still misleading, stating their dreamy assumptions that this new stadium: • Will attract a 2nd bowl game (besides the one it has now); • Will double all attendance figures; • Will attract two neutral-site CFB bowl games each year; • Will host the very biggest events each year — like the NCAA Final Four, like the Republican National Convention, like the Academy Awards ceremony (¿ not Hollywood ?)
"LVTC said it would take 25,000 people to build it, when it's usually more like 3,000,” said Roger Noll, Stanford University Sports Economist who advised some stadium opponents. “They claim it will add 40,000 permanent jobs,” he said, “No sane person would believe a number like that.”
Roger Noll concluded: “The fix was in.”
LVTC held its one & only meeting to allow critics to have their say — they limited them to a mere three minutes apiece.
After the committee issued its report, the governor called the legislature into a special session to ram through the bill that authorizes the $750 million expenditure. Legislators were informed that the stadium would require nearly $900 million more in road improvements, but only after the session began in earnest. Thus, all the other overdue improvements would just have to be neglected at this time (in favor of all assets put at the disposal of the NFL Owners). The bill required a two-thirds vote. In the assembly, the stadium supporters were short several votes. But at the very last minute, after some behind-the-scenes lobbying, some “nays” magically became “yeas,” and it passed by one single solitary vote.
At an NFL Owners meeting in Houston, Davis insisted he's going to move to Las Vegas, and told his fellow owners he'd submit relocation plans in January. But Roger Goodell, the NFL commissioner, pushed back and said that all things being equal, the NFL would prefer to keep the Raiders in Oakland where they are now. Davis is not the most-liked owner, and can’t move the team without getting the votes of at least 24 of the league’s 32 owners.
Since Oakland won’t hand Davis a public subsidy, the Raiders will move in a few years, once a new Las Vegas Arena is built. Nobody even knows what Adelson’s role is now, let alone what it will be if this bogus plan gets pushed thru upon the citizens. But he'll put up $650M out of the goodness of his heart - NOT.
A Raiders move will be one sweet deal for Davis & Adelson and their buddies on the same page in Synagogue sessions — but the Mormons might yet throw a wet blanket on forking over the largest public subsidy in history. That's because it's their Clark County that will get none of the cash flow from that stadium, zero from the parking, zero from any and all naming rights, zero from the gates. 100% of any money made goes to the team.
If tourists don't rush to see a Raiders game, a new hotel tax won't cover the $750 million tab, and then the Clark County taxpayers will be on the hook to flip the bill.
The Raiders going on a winning streak will pave the way..
