Looks like Houston came to play tonight.  

won a thousand bucks from the portland game and doubled it up on houston

yeah, they definitely arent going to just get run over.... they look pretty intense (as intense as the rockets can get).  CLose game and lakers getting all the calls so far, that will switch over as the game goes on i think. +8 is beautiful

Im almost not sure this is right... lakers are shooting 63% to 41% for the game and have 13 ft's to only 3 for houston, but only lead by 3 at the 5:53 mark in the 2nd.

I agree with you in that it seems mathematically impossible but we're hanging in there.  Also, those FTs wouldn't support the idea of the refs favoring Houston but there could be other variables I'm not seeing since I'm not watching the game.

dkite... generally the ref trends take effect much more noticeably in the 2nd half. things will more than balance out.

Rockets shot 3-for-15 from 3-point land., yet only down by 4 on the road.

Expect them to hit more in the 2nd half. They're too good of a shooting team

Teams with a high level of guard play, especially from the point guard position, always give the lakers fits.

lakers losses:  chicago, denver and sac  = all teams with very strong guard play

lakers wins: knicks and utah = atrocious from the point guard position

* the 1st denver game denver coverd, but Lawson gave them fits in both games

Now you have the 2 guards with Houston... made this an easy wager for me... especially getting 8 points.

Shitty ending, Rockets even had the lead in the 4th and were hangin tight the whole game until the last 6-7 minutes of the game
