He has 3 hour practices on the norm, 9am shoot arounds etc. That gets old real quick especially if you aren't winning. JKidd made a great move to get him out and he was stepping on Kidds toes telling the other coaches what to do when he had no right and those other assistants let Kidd know they didn't like it. He was undermining Kidd and he made the right choice.
You made Frank a huge part of this write up and is a non story imho.
I could write a novel about both teams but you made the Knicks sound respectable in your post. We both know the Knicks are a joke. Melo called them the laughing stock of the league. He's about to quit on this team and season. You told us about close losses? Who cares this is the NBA there are no moral victories. A loss by 30 or 1 counts the same.
Felton is shooting a career low from the field. When he is 1-10 he doesn't stop shooting like he's Reggie Miller.
Shump is a liability. If I have a guy on the court who can't shoot or rebound and only there for defense I want him at the Center spot where he will have a much bigger impact.
KMart is done and has been for five years. It's crazy he starting at this point in his career. He should be a 8th or 9th guy. He's not stopping Brook and Bargs might be the worst defender in the league, softer than a roll of Charm.
Notice everyone on the Knicks shoots below 40% except Melo. JR is shooting a mindboggling 33% from the field, how is that even possible?
The Knick bench is the worst in the NBA.
Hardaway if he's lucky will be an undersized back up for several years.
Stoudamire please. He was done 3 knee surgeries ago.
Pablo should go away never seen somebody so scared to shoot the ball in my life.
Metta?
Knicks are a stone cold comedy at the moment and that won't change.
Don't buy the motivation angle. Knicks have been desperate for a win for two weeks now. Tonight doesn't hold any special significance.
One thing that really stands out is Matt Boland is the ref tonight and home teams are 1-13 ats.
No clue what to do with this game at the moment but wanted to play devils advocate because that was the most one sided write up I have ever read.
Frank a terrible coach and it is a nonstory?
You do know he was the coach for the two Finals runs (finals they could have won if they didn't go up against unstoppable spurs and lakers teams). Those were the greatest season's in Nets NBA history. Byron lead by example and made substitutions. I saw all this with my own eyes. I have a full view of it all behind the Nets bench during too many home games to count.
You do know he started out 13-0 and had the greatest start or any rookie coach ever.
You do know that he made the playoffs four times after that with multiple round wins.
You do know he was so highly regarded, Doc Rivers wanted him in LA and he coached well as an assistant in Boston and should have been the head coach there.
You do know the Pistons gave him raw players and no working parts and he blew up there only to be immediately hired by the Nets.
You do know he will have a job very soon, next season at the lastest.
Now for a coach that is 'not good', he appears to be in quite high demand garnering the single biggest payday of any assistant ever.
He was the coach of this team for all intents and purposes.Kidd knows how to play, not to coach. Kidd has moved him out and the Nets have flamed out on an embarrassing level.
The Nets will pay for that tonight and for my money and if you want, yours, that is all that matters.
