Gotta agree with 165 here. This write-up,allthough nicely written, has a couple of main flaws. Naturally when wagering a team and you want to convince the masses that your on the right side, your gonna be as bias as possible towards that team. That my friend you have done quite nicely. Therein lies the biggest flaws of all. Gambling lesson number1 paragraph 2, never and i repeat never bet into a streak(whether its a losing or winning one) for any reason what so ever. Also within that same paragraph it states " Do not ever believe or announce that a team is Due because of (in this case) their losses were better than their opponents. And although you may indeed win this bet you violated the simplest rules of gambling. Even a blind squirell can find a nut every now and then. This is not a haters post; i actually enjoyed your write-up; but it just appears that within that write-up your trying to hard to convince yourself your on the right side. Gl tonight, i truly do wish you get lucky and collect.
You have to take a stance and defend it while still examining the pros and cons of both sides. That is the art of argumentation.
I see nothing positive about the Nets right now.

The guy has been working every year since 1997 as both a HC and assistant!
I wanna see you work for 16 years and have some observer call you a 'filler' for the REAL hire they are waiting for...
dude. since when does tenure matter as a measure of excellence? what is lawrence franks record as a coach? lawrence frank is the guy you hire cause you cant get a phil jackson. Frank hasn't had a winning team in nearly a decade! He talked himself out of a job in 30 days! i mean, come on.

I'm not sure what two finals appearances mean to you, especially with a small market team from NJ.
I was hoping the Nets would realize he should be HC over Kidd but teams usually don't rehire ex's. It resulted in the reverse and now 1/2 of that is gone.
It will cost them (along with their atrocious team play)
The worst team in the NBA will rear its ugly head tonight.

nice write up from the Nets angle but I feel like you underplayed the Knicks side a bit.
Woodson is a terrible coach who is terrible with his Xs and Os on offense and the Knicks are getting killed with all the switching they do on defense.
Iso Melo might be worse than Iso Johnson. Iso Melo is something like 36% (not sure but its under 40% iirc) on his iso's and he rarely passes or drives.
Right now I'd take Alan Anderson over JR Smith and Iman Shumpert. Shumperts defense has been terrible this year, I think you are speaking more on his reputation. Smith shamelessly chucks the Knicks out of games.
Felton is playing worse than he did in Portland when he was run out of town.
The Knicks are in as disarray as the Nets.
All that said, this is one game where almost any single player can go off and get their club a win and Knicks might be the right side today.

Well let's be honest. Praising the Knicks is like putting lipstick on a pig.
For this ONE game, for this rivalry, especially in Brooklyn (which was such a BIG deal a mere 4 head-to-head games ago), this terrible team will get up. And I love that Kmart is there despite what people think about what he can contribute.
And 99% of posters will take Melo over JJ tonight despite the percentages and the majority will take JR over Anderson.
Not saying that's the right side to take but it's the argument is futile for both.
Remember we are only worried about tonight and nothing more so let's forget season long projections which do not look good.

I will add one thing to Frank and let it go. Anybody who is in high demand does not sign a 6 year deal for only a million per. He took that deal because he knows his window has damn near closed. Nobody wants Frank and his NBA HC days are about done.

Not true. He took the deal in part to be closer to his wife, who is battling a prolonged illness, and his two kids. And because it was the richest for an assistant in history. Best of both world's.

Always smart to trust a guy in NBA with a losing record who posts a few supposed winning NFL plays back from Week 6.
Let's go Nets!!!
Supposed?
If you weren't lazy you'd check my record with the search tool before questioning it.
And I simply haven't seen great spots in the NBA all season long except tonight (and opening night which I cited) so I dedicated my time and energy to capping the NFL and if you read my NFL threads and followed, you have been more than well compensated.
