i've been patiently waiting for this write-up since Wednesday night... excellent write-up, per usual... was already leaning raps, just needed to hear your input, and seeing LC on them is icing on the cake.
only thing left for me is to debate just how large I will go with the ML.

Wow! Cover by 7/8 huh!? You're very confident then...
I would want BeginnerBoy's endorsement before I pulled the trigger on that since he watches every warrior game and I know he said 'free money' for the series but not for this number.
Well we have different mentalities..... I will put to you in poker terms....
You're more of a Tight aggressive player. I'm more Loose Aggressive. You see a solid read and big edge then you strike... I see any little edge... I come in. If i lose I lose more.... when I win I win more.... I've learned to deal with it and get phased. This is why I tell anyone who wants to feck with gambling....... make sure you learn how to lose... once you understand how to lose the winning will come naturally..... anyway enough of that.
Clipps are nice in day games on saturday's...... Clipps are just BETTER THAN GOLDEN STATE. period. They are very good at home.... They play equal if not better defense (to me its better) than Golden state... they will force GSW to chuck up clankers.... GSW will not be in position to out rebound them... the transition game will be a problem with the warriors.... finally the clipps have too much weaponry and a better bench.....

Scal long time follower/reader here. I handicap my own games but always look forward (and learn) from your insights. Glad we are on the same side!
GL!
NIce to meet ya! This is the right side in terms of a cap. There really is no strong, detailed argumentation for a Nets side. And you can't find one on this board that's for sure. You can go on and on about talent and expectations for the Nets but expectations were quite high last year vs. the Bulls and sky high in game 7, and the nets lost to a team that was in their hospital gowns. On their home floor no less! Among the worst losses in franchise history and certainly their worst playoff loss ever (not that there's much to speak of outside of the early Kidd years).
The environment and start time alone makes the Nets a tough sell. And there is so much more after that though...

Understood. I am tight aggressive at the tables.
I do have to mix it up though after guys get a read. Not so in sports betting. I can go tight aggressive till I die with sports betting.

Hey scal. Awesome write up. Was waiting for someone to put all these nets backers in place. Not taking anything away from their talent or promise but anybody who's watched the last 20 nets games and the last 20 raptors games knows where the true edge lies in this series.
I'm from Toronto myself and honestly feel that although the raptors don't have enough regular season wins against top-quality opponents (heat, spurs, clips), they have shown enough resilience to warrant my backing here in their first series. I'll be pounding each game in the series Raps ATS and although its a fools bet will also place $1000 on raps +6600 to win it all. (With the option to cash out when they advance to second round)

As if to add insult to injury, the Jazz got the 4th pick from my Celtics. I lose, my team loses and I'm still in such a shock over that Jazz game that I can hardly bet on anything. My only bets thus far are the Clips to win the series at -350 and the Clips to win with a -1.5 games handicap, as well as some series parlays with the Nets. Of course, I can see the Nets losing the first game (and agree with most of your argument) but since I already took them for the series it's hard to bet against them (and, consequently, root for them to lose). I'd be like a schizophrenic, with competing voices in my head. I see the Raptors coming out strong and jumping all over the Nets, but I also see the Nets weathering the storm and hanging around until the end, where the savvy veterans can affect the outcome. I am not a fan of Williams but I think it is a mistake to compare last year's team to this year's. Kidd, PP, and KG have brought a certain attitude (a mix of experience and toughness) that is palpable. So I'm hoping they don't come out flat.
As far as the Clips and dubs go, I think the Clips blow them out in the first game, but that's just my feeling. Right now, I don't trust my intuition, as it has let me down. I would tease it down to 2 (and feel very good about it) but I wouldn't know what to tease it with, as everything else looks uncertain through my timid eyes.

I like the the home town approach.... it may come off like im a homer myself but i'm not..... i just want the monies.....
Waht the Raptors have done is nice...... lets start from here.....
How much better to do you think the raptors can get? i want you to be honest with this answer.
How much better do you think the nets can be? AND..... do you think they were putting a max effort into half those games at the end of season. The nets have gears.... the raptors dont..... I'VE WATCHED BOTH TEAMS PLAY. If the nets show up which they will..... Toronto will get abused. I like toronto a lot.... thats why im laying off this game and will bet this game HEAVY come 3rd quarter.
If the Nets are in this game by 3-4 minute mark of the 3rd quarter then toronto is going down. Playoffs and regular season back to back bullshit all that shiit start times at noon that shiit dont matter bro. These are season vets, Hall of famers, international stars, and former starters. This is a walkin the park for the whole nets team where as this is a brand thing for the Raptors Theres no spots here. The spot here is that the NETS CHOSE TO PLAY TORONTO on Purpose.
the spot here is that the Lebron said the nets aren't a real threat for miami. You can't cap a team like the nets at this point. You simply have to wait and see whats up...... they can easily get feckin clobbered tomorrow or they will come in and bang them out just to deflate them..... Waiting this one out..... ps - more than 50% of this team is different.... You think J kidd dont a chip on his shoulder too? Mark Jackson who? This dude been coach for his 5 years on the court..... watch.

Hey scal, my bookies offers toronto -3. Do you believe it may drop down to -2.5 before tip or -3.5. I want to get the best out of this game and seeing that it's at 3 is holding me back from pulling the trigger.

Chances are it will go -3.5 public is bangin them..... but that change in movement is irrelevant. If you see teh line go down -2.5 with the public still on them..... good luck.
