I think the main difference between LeBron and Kobe is that LeBron has the pass first and make my teammates better mentality.  Of course he has to step up and score but he makes his teammates so much better around him. 

It's been brought up that LeBron has only made one game winning shot at the buzzer and that was this year.  I wonder how many times he has made the game winning shot with 1 second left on the clock?  Or how many times he has had the assits on the game winning shot?  To say that Kobe is the better closer, and therefore the better player because he has more buzzer beaters is just stupid.

Check out that article.  LeBron is not only leading the league in 4th quarter scoring this season but he's scoring more in the 4th quarter than anyone in the past 10 years.

Lebron will be better in the long run. The guy is built. I dont think injuries will be a factor in his career.As of at this moment I would have to say Kobe is the better player. JMO

you really cant compare the two.... they play to different positions..

kobe is shooting guard.... lebron is power foward....

also kobe has much more experience and lebron is still growing

a more better comparsion would be kobe vs michael jordon....

LeBron is the better distributer and rebounder because of his size but lacks the ability to shoot free throws and 3 pointers and as you mentioned, clutch shots. Buzzer beaters mean nothing in the 1st and 2nd quarter. It's all about buzzer beaters in the 4th to win games.

People are saying you can't compare the 2 because of Kobe being a guard and LeBron being a foward. Well if thats the case, your philosophy goes right out the window as well because they play in different leagues. Could LeBron handle playing a stacked Spurs team 4 times a year?

i like both those guys but its very simple, if lebron had half the team kobe did when he won those rings lebron would have his own 3 by now. look what he's doing with mo williams. if he had shaq now garaunteed championship, kobe had shaq in his prime plus a better supporting cast around him. with just one player look what lebron is doing.

What do the Spurs have to do with anything?  LeBron has to play the Celtics and Magic in the east so it's not like he's playing crappy teams.

Woah. This isn't the most important game. Those are in the playoffs.

While he didn't shoot well AT ALL, in fact like pure shit, he contributed with rebounds and passing. Again, Odom is the reason Lakers won, not Kobe.

Kobe is a closer, Lebron is NOT. Nowhere near as good as Kobe. When Lebron starts finishing off games CONSISTENTLY then he can talked about in the same breath as Kobe.

The part that you want to forget about is the fact that Lebron took his team to the ship in that weak ass Eastern Conference.....Do you not think that Bron would have been a sidekick to Shaq ?? Lebron would not have been able to run through the lane like he does now because Shaq would have been taking up the middle....

 

Bron is a beast but he still is not there yet....If he ever gets the shot like Kobe and the clutchness Kobe has then he will be the best player ever....

Sick as a dog and still played better in a big game than queen james! Cut it out all you james fans. He's good, but he's no Kobe by far. Bunch of big game choke artists the cavs are. he had a chance to kick kobes ass and prove how brilliant he is in his own place where cavs dominate, in a spot where lakers were very vulnerable, in their last game of a big trip playing without starting center, this was his fucking playoff game in February... and what he did? totally flopped choked and pussied out....
