I wasn't stating that it was an excuse. I was making A point that nobody can know how a team or a certain player is going to play before tip-off. Only from what you know from previous games and situations. So yes, I think Cleveland was the right play if you think about how each team was playing and the fact that Atlanta didn't really care about making the playoffs and the situation Cleveland was in. But that wasn't the point of my post. The point was that it's pathetic reading all this bitching from grown behind men. Take responsibility for your own bets. Man up and move on to your next wager, or quit gambling.

Wow you guys are seriously a bunch of babies, I lost tonight, but I'm not blaming Scal (although this was probably my first blind tail on you this year)....I blame myself.

Why myself? Well It's quite simple, much like i mentioned b4....Yes does Scalabrine sometimes push me to make me a certain pick, of course...

But who makes the ultimate decision...I do

Take responsibility for yourself, If your tailing anyone, then you are saying that you have faith in this persons past performances and insight into a certain game to help steer you..towards making a certain pick.  Key word is steer, because you are still the one always making the pick.  Everyone tries to sound so smart after the game, when in reality if you guys new so much, you wouldn't be tailing in the first place.

You can't just applaud great results and then turn around and bash someone when they make a mistake on a game.

Was this a bad loss for me, yeah, it was a really bad loss.  I respect Scalabrine as a capper and a person first and foremost though.  His insight into certain things in basketball, is much different then other cappers.

Thanks again Scalabrine, win or lose....If you picked a game tomm, I would blindly tail....why you might ask after such a loss?

Tailing someone, again means putting faith into another individuals talent in capping games....and win or lose, I deff have faith in Scalabrine that he knows exactly what hes doing.

For those who also don't understand, look above, Scal did take responsibility for his loss and I'm sure no matter how you guys feel, nobody feels worse then him.  He knows his job is to come through in the clutch, just like the players on the court.  However I also know, he's smart enough to not be affected by peoples bias based on one or two results.  You adjust and don't forget a loss, but most importantly you learn from it.  One of the biggest things I've always respected about Scal is that he doesn't cap games every night.  He picks certain spots that look good and anyone striving for 70 percent in a season, has to cap that way.

Thanks as always Scal for your great contributions and I hope to still see you on here in the future...

Man tough loss for the Knicks tonight, on top of the Atlanta win...makes it hurt two times as much...

Have a good one buddy and wake up people, we all have to take responsibility for our own choices...

Man I've really never met so many smart people that knew exactly how this game was going to go...
As soon as Atlanta was up 20 or when the game was over..

Interesting how all the geniuses come out when the game is done..or a team is down 20..

    Of course, of course!

I said repeatedly I'd like one counter-argument for the Hawks side.

These vermin were church mouses at that moment.

But when the Hawks win in a blowout, here the donkey's come out in FULL FORCE to beat on Scal!!!!

I think its just the circus atmosphere you create, its very much about attention at least that is how it comes off.

I like the write-ups because its good to see logic used in making betting decisions, but I'm sure they are time consuming and you should just write the key reasons and not feel like you have to go in-depth, if they want to follow they can, if they don't they don't.

All the in-depth information makes these "followers" think your a betting god and I'm sorry going 14-8 or whatever it is does not make you so, it is just not a good sample size, I have seen cappers like AMD go 110-85 over a season and I think that is much more impressive to do with that many games.

I hope your next post is just plain and simple. A pick, 4-5 key points and that is all you need, you only making money to yourself, if others make it with you just icing on the top

I just wanted to add, I made the same pick, Atlanta just looks like a team that doesn't want to face the heat and have the season be over.

tough loss for us tonite scalabrine, keep your head up and dont ever apologise to these in-grates......anyone who knows the slightest thing about this league knows all too well this backwards,upside-down,topsy-turvey sh i+ can happen at the drop of a hat anytime any place...and im sure you understand it all too well having seen it many times where things completely defy logic in this wacky league...you are dead right, everything you pointed to in your write-up was spot on and not a soul was heard to rebuke it and,as completely bizarre as it souds,if time would be re-winded and given the choice again i would still take cleveland all day every day..no-one and i mean NO-ONE!!!!.. can predict sum of the twisted stuff that goes on in this league in terms if motivation, confidence, chemistry, rhythm, fatigue etc. etc. etc.that is why its the toughest of all sports to wager on.....and that, unfortunately,is why you have so many of these disgusting, little weasels in here looking for help from folks like your good self.......just like you and train69(another great guy around here)said-every damn dude on the planet is an absolute frickin genius once they have seen the result basically 95% unfolded...absolute clairvoyants the lot of them....................its just despicable how they slobber all over you after you deliver a blowout knicks win, then the very next day ready to stab you in the eye with a hot fork cos you dont accurately predict the future at a 99% clip.

cheers for sharing and hope to hear again from you soon.......be nice if these other douche-bags realised that, win or lose,it still takes the same amount of time, effort and generosity of spirit to do wat you do......but i suppose they too busy getting their kicks in on a man figuratively"lying on the ground"

oh,and to that d i ckk-smoker whose name aint even worth remembering....scalabrine DEFINITELY mentioned the cavs would probably be trailing by big figures at sum point in the game and yes it was before tip-off..i specifically remember reading it so get ya facts rite you bottom-feeding,pusculent,worthless sack of steaming sh i+.........you call him a
BS artist yet he is in profit for the nba season on posted plays which is more than can be said for most round here...how is he B.S ing exactly??

I believe this is character building for you Scal, learning how to completely ignore the trolls no matter what they're saying and figuring out where it went wrong for next time! I'd also just like to say thanks for the article it was very insightful and due to my now excellent bank management skills I only lost 1 unit on the Cavs. Next time Vegas will NOT be so lucky as I believe you're due for a BIG win next time you figure this out.

I've done this much longer than anyone here and I can assure you, if you base your bets off of lines, you will be what everyone else is, a 50/50 gambler who loses his vig. Of course, no gambler just loses their vig. They chase and lose everything.

The line is COMPLETELY irrelevant to the game when you are eyeballing 1 or 2 teams all year.

But as a shortcut, you can get action on the game and yes it can work sometimes so I'm not saying it can't help when you want action.

All true. But I wouldn't expect anything less from you.

This is a man who understands himself and gambling.

Everyone bashing here should read this.

All true. But I wouldn't expect anything less from you.

This is a man who understands himself and gambling.

Everyone bashing here should read this.

Interesting how all the geniuses come out when the game is done..or a team is down 20..

    Typical covers trollers

Did you see how many disappeared in droves when the lead went from 23 to 12 though?

Melo you are a hater brotha,,,,,,,,,,,, sca did not put a gun in your head............brotha .........please stay out of this thread, or cap your own game............

    Telemaco22:

Dude r u blind, you copy my entire message and then actually write that underneath it all.  Did you not read a single thing I wrote.....How am I a hater, >>???

All I did was praise Scal for his help and take my own responsibility because I made the pick, not Scal.

I have praised Scal win or lose since day one that I have followed him and I have been just as gracious in the losses as I am in the wins.

Take a look at Risktakers post about what i wrote, you might learn something.....and TY Risktaker

In the end it's about acting professional in a gruesome world of betting, if you can't handle a loss correctly, you really shouldn't be betting in the first-place.

The line is COMPLETELY irrelevant to the game when you are eyeballing 1 or 2 teams all year.

But as a shortcut, you can get action on the game and yes it can work sometimes so I'm not saying it can't help when you want action.

you need to not be so stubborn bro, according to you the refs dont matter (when indeed they do, especially in that pistons/bucks game)...also you say line doesnt matter, when in reality the line made the difference in me not betting. If it was Cleveland -1 I wouldve taken Cavs, but since its Atl -3 I stayed away. Trust me I've followed this trend a lot this year and its money. Even if its just saving you money you would lose by falling for the gift looking line. Just food for thought my man
