Who cares about stats........? Kobe is a better shooter, a better free throw shooter, a better defender,
Lebron is better at driving, and passing.
Kobe by a mile.
Like Papi said....Who do you want taking the last second shot in a game 7.........ask 200 people in the NBA ...i think about 185 if not more would say Kobe. Ask 200 players who you want shooting the last second free throws. KOBE. Ask 200 players who you want guarding the other teams best player with 5 seconds left. 185 will say KOBE over lbj. I really dont see how LBJ is better. More athletic? Yes...better ball player NO!

You my friend are a clown. It isnt a different question jackass. Part of being a great or in this case a better player is being clutch. KOBE IS ...LBJ is not......another part of basketball KOBE is better than LBJ at.

Lebron....and it shouldn't even be close. If the King had as much help as Kobe, the Cleveland Lebrons would be undefeated this year, and he would have won one last year.
Lebron scores more, gets more rebounds and assists, and, no this is not the first season he has done that. Lebron stretched the champs to seven games with that makeshift team, and Kobe couldn't even get to a seventh despite having a deeper team, and a tremendous sidekick in Pau Gasol.

retarded answer! the question wasn't "who has a better career resume"... it was "who is the better player"... right now!
It makes him a better player now with experience he has in pressure situations. When Lebron can get his teams in through the playoffs than talk. The question also didn't state anything about right now.

Lebron James. The king is always competitive regardless of the situation. He would have never allowed a near 40 pt blowout in a finals game 6 vs the celtics. Kobe couldn't do anything in that game and pretty much gave up in the 1st half!!!! LJ would have made it a game even with his shitty supporting cast.

People that look at stats to find out who's better
people who can't tell who the better player is by watching them on the court
and by the way... Lebron is already a better defensive player than Kobe, and he will only continue to get better...
if you watched the Olympics and still don't know who the better player is, you simply don't know shit about basketball... that was an even playing field situation, and Lebron was totally dominant... Kobe was frequently invisible... Lebron was the star of that team... not Kobe!

Lebron has better stats than Kobe this season. Then again, Lakers are so strong that Kobe doesn't need to play as hard. Kobe already has an MVP and 3 Championship rings. Theirs a really good chance that Kobe may get a 4th ring and if he does, that will quite the crowd that says he couldn't do it without the Shaqdaddy. So until Lebron wins a championship and get an MVP, it's KOBE hands down. I know that one of these days, Lebron will get his. But this conversation will stick with Kobe.
This conversation is too early, there at different points in their career. It's too early to tell, Lebron is still 23 gonna be 24 at the end if the month. But too this person who posted this, LeBron is doing the same thing with the Cavs. He's playing the least number of minutes so far since they are blowing everybody out

Like i said. ask 200nba players who they would want guarding the best player on the opponents team in a game 7 10seconds left and 100% at least 150/200 would say KOBE before LBJ.........but you can suck LBJ's dick as much as you want, still not gonna make him better than Kobe.
this article from DAVID DUPREE says it best... "You can argue all day long who is the best player in the NBA today, but
when you stop getting overly excited by dunks, threes and no-look
passes and remember the game is played at both ends of the floor, the
discussion starts and stops at Bryant. He has the same mind-set on
defense that he has on offense, playing the entire game with a "no one
can stop me and I can stop anyone" mentality."
tell me how lbj's dick tastes next time you take it out of your mouth. Hands down KOBE is better. discussion can now carry on.

LeBron can avg 35pts a game, 9RPG, and 8APG but at the end of the day, he doesnt have the defensive mindset of one KOBE bryant.
You might be able to argue Lebron is better offensively at this point, but no fucking way is he a better ALL AROUND player. No way no how. And with people in the industry, your opinion is definitely in the minority.

so basically the strength of your argument depends on saying someone is "sucking Lebrons dick"... whereas the strength of my argument depends on watching 8 games where both players were on the same team playing against the world's best competition... Lebron was the star...
put Lebron on LA and Kobe on Cleveland and there is no need to even have this discussion...
how does Kobe's dick taste in your mouth?
fucking moron!

Kobe has proven time and time again that he is not capable of lifting the playing-level of the players around him... his championships came when Shaq was in his prime, and the most dominant player in the league (possibly ever)... Kobe will never win another ring unless he gets someone who is that dominant to play with him...
meanwhile, Lebron has turned an assemblage of mediocre players into one of the best teams, and he DOES lift the playing-level of the players around him...
if you are watching them both play and can't see that Lebron is better, you are simply a Kobe worshipper and are blind to basketball ability... Lebron took over the reigns of best basketball player in the world during the Olympics and he will never give it back... the gap is growing larger daily...

but
when you stop getting overly excited by dunks, threes and no-look
passes and remember the game is played at both ends of the floor, the
discussion starts and stops at Bryant.\ That is the strength of my discussion. You sucking lebrons dick is just a minor point that makes me laugh. Its funny if you think Lebron plays better D. Honestly if you asked 30GM'S at least 30 would tell you KOBE plays better D. Lebrons wife and mother would tell you Kobe plays better d. You sound real ignorant when you say Lebron is a better defender. Not even worth arguing anymore really. Its like saying Ben Wallace is better on the offensive end than Amare. Its a laughable joke.
end of story. end of discussion. reread that and then maybe you'll understand. basketball is more than dunking an orange ball. but obviously you dont think so. im done with you. good luck person.

I'm sorry Popeye, its just that when someone makes an ass out of themselves, i like to be the one to let them know. This guy is trying to tell me Lebron is a better defender ALREADY... meanwhile Kobe Bryant ALL NBA DEFENSIVE FIRST TEAM in 2000,2003,2004,2006,2007, 2008
ya know what im saying?

This isnt a debate until Lebron can get it done at the end of a game. Kobe is like MJ in that you know hes going to shoot it, and you know he is going to make. Lebron can dominate an entire game and then have 2 free at the end to make it and my money would be on him choking. Until he proves he can be clutch this isnt an argument.
Kobe Bryant
Kobe has already passed the stage in his career where he has to do what Lebron is doing. If you want Kobe to score 50, he will. He is more worried about improving his team right now. He will never rebound like Lebron and honestly the Cavs offense doesnt start unless Lebron touches the ball. While the Lakers offense runs through Kobe as well. You see him drop it in the post and go set a screen for someone else to get open. Lebron drops it in the post and knows he is going to get the ball back. Lebron has more chances to look good. Kobe is still king.
