Everyday you guys think it's rigged.

My only wager for the day in the NBA was 1st half Dallas. According to you rigtards, Dallas should've easily covered since the whole world was on Houston 1st half.

Of course when they were fouling Josh Smith at the end of the 1st half, they were just rigging the game so that he would make the 1st FT while missing the 2nd so that Houston can get the offensive rebound and Harden hitting a 3. This was all scripted right?

Common people your false accusations are getting tiresome.

Honestly Stryc,

It looked totally rigged for Dallas to cover that 1st half. Did you see how bad Houston played and how many times they turned it over? And if it wasn't for the fluke, Dallas would of covered. So nobody is saying that everything is 100% rigged. That was about 98% rigged for Dallas to cover but it just didn't come through so books accept their losses.

You must admit it was a fluke the way Houston covered that. I had Dallas +5 so that loss hurt. But had it not be 98% rigged dallas would of been down 50 to start the 2nd half, so really it was the wrong bet anyway.

Before you throw the "conspiracy" bomb and try to disprove any claim whatsoever that "NBA is definitely NOT rigged" you need to realize something about how things are run behind the show.

There are guys who are standing next to the coach, next to the officials, next to many people who have influence on the game. Just read BetRadar.com's testimony here:

Even if they had no contact whatsoever (e.g. in NCAA or other "small" leagues) they will see when the pace is changing way ahead of you:

I've seen CBA (=Chinese Basketball Association) and PBA (=Philippines BA) games, they have no trend neither but these guys don't score 41 points in 5 minutes, because they can't rig the results ... so in CBA you might get a 240 line that will drop and drop and it won't recover ... only in the NBA you can see 2 teams scoring 160 points and 2 minutes remaining - they make it 195 with tons of free throws.

You want to challenge me that NBA is not rigged? Then disprove the claim that quoted in bold and underlined text above please.

Ok well if clippers win the series, will you admit I was right? Because as you all said, NO CHANCE CLIPPERS BEAT THE SPURS, so if they do win, then that should prove to you that it had to be rigged, since according to you guys, it wouldn't be possible for the clippers to win fair and square.

Good argument. I guess. Although it kinda goes over my head. lol I really don't know how it all works. 

I just watch the games, and it's Sooooo obvious just by watching them, that they are rigged. So many things during the game give it away every time. Anyone who isn't blind would know these games are rigged. I've seen players do things, that you wouldn't believe during the game. I think most of the public knows it's rigged. It's not really a secret. That's why they call it sports entertainment, because it's all scripted.like wrestling. The guys get paid millions so of course they gonna lose if they're told to.

Yes, totally seconded.
These NBA players get paid millions to run a good show - they need to be in extremely good shape, and they need to run a show (e.g. DJ from the CP3 with some Alley Oops, James Harden with 'explosives' etc.) - that's what they get paid for.
It's very similar to movie actors who get paid millions to run a good show as well, there is no difference, except that with the movie industry there's plenty of time to rectify mistakes whilst here in sports it needs to be in live, and yes, sometimes you see some accidents (e.g. Kevin Love) or even fights but these don't dictate the pace of the game in the long term.

It's common to think they get paid millions, so why the need to rig the game? But you forget that those millions of $$$ need to come from somewhere - so you got the crowd, you got some advertisers for commercials (that's where the big $ is), but you also got gambling and I wouldn't underestimate the gambling industry at all.

Think about it, every bet that someone places, regardless of the amount is automatically a pure donation of 10%-20% of that amount to Vegas, directly or indirectly - that is occurring in each and every game, NO exceptions!

Now I'd say in such case there's a bloody good reason for the people involved to make sure they can "milk" as much as possible from the betting crowd, especially in events like Playoffs where the interest from everybody is simply on the rise.

I absolutely agree with most of everything that was written here... Aside from research... All one had to do is go back and watch tape to chart everything... Whether it be sudden slow or fast paced playing style in relation to the spread... Sports wagering now has become more like a stock market in recent years...And it is indeed very organized...  They need to squeeze profits in all areas they can for all interest groups that are in the tank,, back then we never had live wagering... Handicappers that dont have a clue about this information or know what the books want to do with a line will often times lose... To some things up,, im glad there are others out there coming forward with this other than myself and breaking things down... There will always be rigged games,, (to me that's a good thing) in the same sense as OP mentioned,, its also very predictable if you know what to look for,, Yet one major thing is knowing how a market will react... And the books know exactly how a market will react prior to each game... usually in a series,, the very first game doesnt have nearly as much action as one would think(I call this the bait game)... And as the series progress,, joe public also believes they have more relative information to beat the odds because they saw with thier own eyes what happend the night before,, (this is where the public money starts to come in...) 

And if games were never rigged,, would sharps really have any form of long term edge? Maybe but not much... Guys like tantii,, can be easily created in a matter of a few mins,, with "Bet the house" plays let go" ,, i believe this is in reference to the asian market... It is a big one...

And I just want to add and say that the element of sportsmanship, the element of expectations has gone away from sports ... it's no longer a pure game where the one who puts most effort wins ... it has been completely been "destroyed" in that sense ... not that there's anything wrong with having sports like the stock market, but it just kills the real fun of it ... perhaps it created a new type of fun but absolutely, I'm totally against it.

There is no "EDIT" button ... I said I'm against it because I don't like unethical behavior nor for people to be unscrupulous, but I guess you have to be one, like have a very good "manipulator mindset" if you want to succeed.... it's like in the stock market ... where the EUR/USD dropped so badly to the 1.04 area - it was pretty much "inevitable" that it won't go up from there, but on the same time psychologically it's so hard to bet against such a strong trend.

This is how the market is acting nowadays, it's nasty, I don't like it because it's crossing the "ethical" lines normal human beings are used to, but I know many people just accept it and live with it.

That quote proves nothing. All sportrader is saying is they are in close contact with data journalist, coaches and such, all that refers to is knowing someone who knows those people so they can get a sense of team mentality and such things, hasd nothing what so ever to do with games being set-up. 

You or I could do the same thing .Read the newspaper the coaches will tell you many things.

And remember this, it sounds like Sportrader is a bussiness trying to gain your bussiness and how honest they are about who they know could certainly be questioned. Of coarse they will say things like that, true or not is another story, and whether those things gain the player an advantage is a completely different stary has well, but Sportrader will certainly try and paint the right picture to make money.


The only thing I see proven in this thread is, the OP does not understand how sports works so therefore the answer is the games are fixed.

Anyone who follows the NBA should know teams place alot of importance on closing out quarters and especially halves like the 1st half, therefore the intensity and energy changes, a team could not maintain that kind of energy for the entire game, they'd wear themselves out by the 3rd quarter so they play hard to close out quarters and halves.

The other thing is, let's say a team shots 50% for the game, well, that does not mean the team shot 50% in every quarter, it does not work that way.

A team could shot 38% in the 1st quarter with fewer points scored therefore the total appears to the ave unsuspecting person to be on pace for a lower scoring game so that rookie bites on the newly adjusted number the book puts-out in game, then the team shots 40% in the 2cd quarter, so once again the unsuspecting person bites again at halftime on another adjusted number put-out by the book.

What is very common is the 2cd half the team will explode and shot 62%  and score alot of points in the process. Then in the end the team shots 50% for the game, this is very common for teams on all levels including high school teams, did vegas fix them to ?

Nope, it's not a fix but just how sports works. 

What the book does is know all about how it works so when they adjust the line they have a far better idea then the ave person has to the chances a team will shot that 62% in the 2cd half while the unsuspecting square knows nothing and bite like a fish out of water at the adjusted number.


The ave person has little to no-clue how sports betting works and is only a fan of the sport, they follow the sport, they keep up with the sport and reason that this will help them win at sports betting when the hard reality is is, it does not help them win at all but puts them at a disadvantage to the book.

Therefore because they don't understand it, it must be fixed, as if they only things that can exist in the world are things they understand...........................................

Now how many times did they go to the line in the first 5 minutes of the quarter? Answer: 3, exactly 3 times.

These are facts, pure statistics proving to you how the game is rigged and you're telling me that everything has a reason.

Yes, I can find you thousands of reasons why the EUR/USD is 1.10 now and not 1.04 but the main reason is because big banks like to manipulate the trade, and everybody knows it.

Love the video... Just pointing out some of different groups.. You can tell a lot about someone by the way they down play situations... OP and Llanafrank,, i know where you guys stand... Try convincing a whole nation drugged up by the media lol

But the ones where they all of a suidden slow the pace when they realize they scoring too much are the obvious rigged under games. It happens usually in the 4th, they will make sure they go under and like a charm, they always do. You just have to know how to spot it. I can't really describe it in detail when they do it. It's just obvious when watching it, usually. Not everytime. Sometimes they fool you, and that is probably because people do IN GAME bets so they must get these people too.

Vegas aren't fools, they have all avenues covered. It's like they want most games to come down to the spread, but they also need blowouts each night as well to bust teaser bettors.
