You keep mentioning how this Blazers team on the court isn't the same guys that were so bad at the end of the year last year. Meaning these guys that are out there now haven't gotten a win together in over 6 months.
So we have a team that is already traditionally bad on the road that hasn't actually won together in a long time and they now have to put it all together in someone elses arena in their home opener.
We also have a new Blazers coach who probably is still learning who can play well with who, also a bad recipe for the road.
Dragic and Bledsoe...hmmm, couldn't think of a better comparison than Foye and Lawson, smaller very fast guards.

Seems like a hero play to me. Taking a bad road team again against a team in their home opener. I'd love to check the record of teams in their home opener this year as I know it is incredibly good.

This is a classic case of a mush on tilt.What's worrisome is the season is 3 days old.

This is a long season that goes until June,why don't we settle down and talk about Obamacare.

Also, stop downplaying JJ Hickson. This guy is a beast, you don't avg over 10 rpg in 29 minutes unless you are a monster. The guy was 7th in the whole league in RPG last year, sorry the Blazers couldn't put up the cash to re-sign him because they are too busy overpaying their jump shooting injury prone "power" forward, but he is definitely not a "throw away"

Lamarcus Aldridge after his rookie season has averaged 37 minutes per game and only once got over 9 boards a game for a season.

Hickson averaged 10.4 boards a game in 29 minutes.

Man, you had me convinced on Wednesday and I dropped a couple of bucks on them. Not again. Your Portland pick wasn't even close - Phoenix was ahead 30-16 after the 1st quarter and cruised to a 13 point win. They were also outscored in the paint 52-24. I'm thinking of laying the short number with Denver in their home opener. They might not be the same team as last year, but they were a league best 38-3 at home. Blazers have lost 18/19 meetings in Denver, including both last season. Another thing I look at is Denver has tomorrow off and Portland has their own home opener to look ahead to against the San Antonio Spurs. Best of luck to you, put there are better picks on the menu imo.

Another guy who says this is the SAME group of Blazers as last year even though I addressed this point as false in this thread twice and in the last thread several times.

It's really amazing. The more of you that show up in my thread, the more I'm confident about my pick. You know about as much about this Blazers as a caveman knows about the Internet. Please pound the Nuggets tonight.

This game is setup for the nugs to win at the buzzer.  55% on Portland ML, and 62% on Nugs -5...  vegas wants the nugs at the buzzer

I'm a big Nuggets fan and have followed this team for years.  I will not be playing this game, but wanted to point out that while you do make great points for Portland, you are discounting that Denver is now playing better defense.  Also, I'm not sure what you have against Hickson, but he looked decent in his debut.  

Another thing to take into consideration is opening night, say what you will about a long season, but players get more amped up for their home openers and that's a reason I could see Denver winning by DD.

However, this team is unlike any Denver team over the past 6+ years and I don't see how any value can be found on the spread side of their games until about game 15.  Where the books are messing up is the total.  This team slows it down and does play better D now and this total is way to high.  

Again, I'm not playing this game but will be cheering for the Nuggets and wanted to give you my two cents.  BOL
