Superbowl = Team trophy. Defence won him those SB's....
obviously in denial. Yes he threw a pick in the final minutes of the 06 championship. He cant do it everytime. Alot more playoff success than manning and you cant argue that.
Let me ask you this. How did the pats defense do in the superbowl against carolina? If I remember correctly not to well. That game was a shootout. Jake Delhomme went up and down the field on them. Where does Jake rank on your QB list? How about the Philly superbowl? Gave up some points against them as well. I believe 21 to be exact.
You can honestly say Brady had nothing to do winning those superbowls. Come On. Thats ridiculous.
So like you said defense wins championships. I guess you are admitting that the colts defense won that championship in 07?

Yes you're absolutley right, the patriots have had more playoff success as a team. Brady is the Qb, he doesnt play defence and special teams. So to answer your question the patriots have had more success than the colts. But it is all coming to an end. Did i really just hear this??? You are basing how a well a defence played by the points they allowed??? Lmao wow now i've heard everything. That comment just showed that all you do is follow box scores.

jmb... you just proved the point that defense wins championships... the Colts D was outstanding the year they won it all... that was the difference!
you need a great QB, but with a great QB and no defense, you aren't going to win shit! just ask Marino...
my point was that nobody realizes how good the colts d was the year they won the superbowl. but finally someone agrees.
And yes i do agree the first superbowl the pats won was because they had a very good defense but brady made the throws and plays when he had to. Go back to that game, the pats d was very good but brady was a very good as well.
In the other two super bowl wins brady was flat out brillant. Pats d was subpar at best. So i do have to disagree with you ice4blood. A good O can win a superbowl. Rams for example.
If that is someones opinion that the pats d won there superbowls than it will be hard to change their mind. But for someone to say that Brady had nothing to do with it and is not one of the leagues greatest is flat out dead wrong.

So what your telling me a defense can allow 35 points and play well? I can see if the offense turned the ball over and put the defense on a short field than you can say maybe the d played well. But great defenses come up with stops in those spots.

Whoa ]whoa, back up here. First you saying letting up 21 points is bad then you saying 35 is bad Make up you mind buddy. The colts defence never won them the superbowl because unlike the pats, out defence played shit the hole season and showed up in a couple of games during the playoffs. But when Peyton needed to get it done vs the patriots during the AFC championship, he got it done and Tom Brady just couldnt do the same. I really can't talk to someone that has no little knowledge. Peace.

jmb... i agree it isn't all about defense... but it is about the team... Brady has never single-handedly won any Super Bowl... nor has any other QB...
Brady is definitely among the best in the league... but i have watched them all play more than enough to know that if we're talking about who the best is right now, the discussion begins and ends with Peyton Manning... after that there can be a heated argument... but there is simply no argument for who is #1...
that's my opinion... i see Brady having games like the one he had on Sunday at least 3 or 4 times a year... but Manning is a machine... you just never see him fold his tent like that... even Brees can look really bad against a great defense once or twice a year... but Manning even smokes the Ravens when he plays them... the guy just prepares better than anyone in the game, and it shows on Sundays (or sometimes Mondays)...

ok once again fixated on one game the 06 championship game. Congrats Peyton you got the best of Mr Brady one time in the postseason. and in the second half your coaching staff had no confidence in you so they changed their game plan and put the ball into addai and rhodes hands. Yes Brady threw a pick at the end of the game. I know this. Funny how you forget about all Mannings playoff interceptions and failures once he "wins" a superbowl.
Bottom line is what i have learned about all your assanine posts is Brady is a nobody that won three superbowls.
I will say this is manning good yes but game on the line huge spot i take brady 9 outta 10 times.
And since i need to explain everything to you Manning apoligist. What i am saying about defense is 21points or 35 points will make it tough on any offense to win. That is unless Tom Brady is at the helm

I guess we agree to disagree. I dont care what anyone says no qb can go out and be unstoppable or even close to that every game. Everyone will see this with brees over the next few weeks. Perfect example is brady in 07. Perfect for 18 outta 19. And i have seen Manning fold many of times especially when the games are at their biggest. Check out mannings playoff games against the chargers and patriots in foxboro over the years.
As far as the superbowls, i think the first superbowl against the rams he did what he had to do to win the game but the other to wins he was flat out unbelievable. love your insight though

Your right, the PATRIOTS won 3 super bowls. Their defence won it for them. As for letting up 21 or 35 points. We'll Brady couldn't even beat the jets when his def let up 16 points. Brady couldnt even get a touchdown.

Yea, check out his recievers dropping passes on 4th down, while brady just throws pure picks to end the games. Brady couldnt even march them down with a min left to win the superbowl, while peyton scored in what 30 seconds to beat the dolphins. No comparison.

the dolphins haha with their starting 2 corners out when manning did nothing for the first 3 1/2 quarters. haha your to funny.
You know the funny thing is i will admit brady is not perfect but according to you, nothing is mannings fault. Its always his receivers dropping passes or his defense. and you say im in denial. your ridiculous. Brady throws one pick in a big spot and all of a sudden he stinks. haha your to funny kid.
Your comparing manning being "brillant" on a monday night in sept against a bad team to Brady not being able to lead a team down the field with 45 secs left and no timeouts against a GREAT giants defense on the biggest stage. Hate to do the name calling thing but you my friend are a moron. By the way didnt Brady lead his team down the field for a go ahead score in that same game late in the fourth but that great NE defense couldnt come up with a stop.
Ive heard it all now.

Ohh, i get it. So when Eli leads his team down the field for a TD its the defense not being able to make a stop, but when Brady not being clutch and scoring to win the superbowl its the Giants D, i get it. Obviously im not gonna win this argument because i'm dealing with someone who has too much time on his hands. Peace.

45 sec no timeouts after already driving down the field. How many times does he have to be clutch in one quarter?
Pats d shoulda picked off at least two manning passes on that drive and one of the luckiest catches of all time.
Haha just admit Brady is one of the all time greats.

You'd think someone who "owns a business" and has a day off, would do something more efficient with their time then argue about who's a better quarterback. I guess there are a lot of low life's on covers, very sad.
