Atlanta Falcons @ Seattle Seahawks

First things first.....the first couple of weeks have proven to be quite challenging to date but i believe i'm starting to get a good read on some of these teams personalities and strengths.

One of the NFL's feel good teams so far, are these Atlanta Falcons
A team that had the talent but always found a way to underacheive the past couple of years has finally turned the corner this year so far.
I believe the addition of center Alex Mack has paid major dividends.

The Falcons currently sit at 4-1, both winning SU & ATS the last 4.
The impressive part is, that they have beaten last years 2 Super Bowl teams in the past 2 weeks.......

48-33 over Carolina in Atlanta
&
23-16 over the Broncos in Denver.

The Atlanta Falcons are back......


When i first saw this line, i was shocked!
Atlanta was getting almost a full touchdown???
Wow

I remember my father telling me once..."Son, if it looks to good to be true, it probably isn't"

This is a Stone Seattle line.


Seattle enters this game with a clear target in Atlanta.
This will be a statement game imo from the Seahawk defense. There is already talk of Richard Sherman following Julio Jones all over the field.

Prime let down spot for Atlanta here.

The saying is: "If it's too good to be true, it probably is!" 

Anyways,  I agree the line is fishy. One thing you didn't mention, was the fact that Dan Quinn is returning home. Will that factor in? It has to in some fashion, I believe. 

I teased the game but staying away from the 6.5. The under looks tasty at 46 with a 80% chance of rain & 18mph winds... Plus Seattle's D is still #1

Seattle will be well rested coming off of their bye last week.

Atlanta logging alot of miles traveling to the West coast last Sunday for a game in Denver, returning to Atlanta afterwards only to turn around a couple of days later for a return flight to the Wet coast for a game in Seattle.

Teams can't sustain both the emotional and physical toll that this Atlanta team has been thru lately.

Much like a car, Atlanta is running on empty here and needs to pull over to refuel.

Dan Quinn is not gonna win his homecoming I'm afraid. Wind and rain and the seahawk D will ground the air attack of the dirty birds.

I'm in Seattle, they say the worst storm in 50 years is suppose to swipe through Saturday evening. It's not suppose to be as bad Sunday but weather could still be a factor. Under could be in play here if winds are still gusty. Brandon Marshall put Sherman to work a few weeks back. I think Julio will get his. Seattle's D isn't as suffocating under Richard. Stats look good now but who have they faced? Keenum? Gabbert? Fitzpatrick? Tannehill? You got probably 3 of the bottom 5 there and Fitz who not as bad as the other 3 is pedestrian as it gets. If wind isn't a big factor I think ATL covers. If weather is a factor I think the under is the better play here.

Seahawks may have a great defense. You say 1st but yet are 3rd in points allowed....What you are forgetting is the offense is a disaster to watch. Beating the hapless 49'ers and then beating a Jets team in absolute shambles right now by 10 should not be things you mark down as the SEA offense being "back on track".

If you are betting SEA -6 you better hope Russell is sharp...REAL REAL sharp and that Julio Jones doesn't play because they are facing a complete team here.

FYI.. Atlanta never came home after the Denver game.. The went straight to Washington and has been practicing at Washington Unv..  No travel lag for the Falcons.. They cover the game if not win straight-up...

They flew to Seattle after the game in Denver. Staying there the whole week.

Shows how much you know...Falcons didn't fly back to Atlanta then fly back again out West. DQ knows people out in Seattle. They stayed out West and are practicing at University of Washington. This is a different team than last year, they are legit...not to mention 6 and a half points to work with...count me IN. Give me Atlanta HUGE

They stayed out west after the Denver game...they didn't fly back to Atlanta then fly again out west. This team is different than last year, they are LEGIT. DQ has their minds right, give me Atlanta and the points HUGE

Falcons flew to Seattle after the Denver game. They're staying there the whole week

Yeah, as many of my brethren pointed out above Atlanta never went back east... Straight to Washington... So they're fully acclimated and traveling time and distance won't factor into this game. 

What they didn't point out is... "alot" is two words.. A lot.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Oakland Raiders


Kansas City enters this game fresh off of a bye with a bad taste in their mouths courtesy of an embarrassing 43-14 loss to the Steelers on national tv 2 weeks ago.

Andy Reid led teams an impressive 15-2 SU the game after a bye.

Kansas City also an impressive 10-3 against the number last 13 visits to Oakland.

The Raiders defense is a mess on many levels and the secondary is the worst in the league.

Will take the team with the far better defense, the veteran quarterback who limits turnovers, who has a great track record in Qakland and who is comng in rested with motivation.

That is a recipe for success.

i agree with your seattle pick...


last year ATL started 5-0 and ended up  8-8 on the season


not saying its going to be the same this year bc the addition of alex mack and tevin coleman staying healthy has paid dividends but i think they will come back tto earth. especially this week..their defense has certainly overachieved

Im with you on Seattle, coming of a bye, they should roll. Number sounds to good to be true. The will be Atlanta's 4th game in 5 weeks on the road, 3 of those traveling west with 2 of those back to back.
