Aaron Rodgers on the road this season against Top 10 DVOA defenses:
55% completions. 5.25 YPA. Total passing yards in the three games: 189, 162, 185. QB rating: 64.0
Packers record in those games: 0-3 SU & ATS.
Packers points scored: 16, 7, 13.
Blake Bortles had the worst QB rating in the league this year at 69.5. Against Top 10 defenses on the road Aaron Rodgers has played worse than Blake Bortles. Think about that. He and the Packers offense have been terrible over three full games. Pretty big sample in the NFL. Now minus a leg and his mobility he's supposed to play better?
Those are reasons to take Packers here, this gives more value backing Packers, because they've played poorly they'll put that much more energy , focus and effort into righting the ship.
History sides with how a team plays in.....ALL GAMES.... as a better predictor going forward at this point in the playoffs.
The only question mark is Rodgers calf, without mobility he losses a big strength.

Tough to go against a Hot Seattle team that I believe has won and covered 7 straight games and of course are playing in Seattle this Sunday.. The Packers do not have any good road wins this year and have struggled giving up 121 yards on the ground per game..of course Rodgers is not 100 percent as well and it seems like a tough road .
Here's 3 of Seattle's recent covers.............a bad call late hit on Wilson gave Seattle a 1st down and that gave them the cover VS 9ers late in the game with 9ers covering the entire game.
With Rams covering the entire game Seattle needed a pick-6 to cover the spread and even then Rams came back got inside the 10 yard line and the Rams player was holding the ball out, 1 foot from the goal line for the cover when a Seattle player knocked the ball loose into the endzone for a touchback.
Carolina game, Panthers covering the spread the entire game and once again Seattle gets a pick-6 late to cover.
Getting pick-6's to cover is not sustainable and cannot be counted on game to game to game and then a very bad cal roughing the passer s not sustainable.
Seattle covered 3 of those spreads doing things not sustainable.
They can get away with that against the mediocre teams of the world but Rodgers one of the least INT'd QB's.
I would not nessearily back Seattle here because they covered all those games, because they covered all those games I'd be very careful backing them.............................

I was so close to adding Green Bay ML, I hesitated over it for a while. So glad I didn't, feel terrible for whoever had the ML right now. Complete choke job by GB's defense and that idiot who was supposed to block for Jordy Nelson on the onside kick but made a play on the ball instead. He let his entire team, organization, and city down.
Great discussion in this thread regardless everyone, this is what Covers should be about which is sharing information together. Superbowl will be a good 1 this year

Enjoyed your writeups all season LC and glad you waded thru the many a'holes who contributed nothing but criticism. Vast majority of us are still just looking to read different, and educated, analyses on the games which you bring to covers every week. How we ultimately play the games is our responsibility. Now come up with the SB winner so i don't have to spend the next 6 months bashing you!

It will be great when Seattle beats Bellacheat's behind!
It's funny that the two teams you like (the Thunder and Patriots) I don't like very much. But I try to be objective here. That was the worst game that Seattle offense played all year. They will not play like that in the SB, while the defense did its job. I always said that the game would be decided by Seattle O vs GB D and that's what happened (the sexy matchup of Rodgers vs Seattle D would be a wash, and it was). GB D shut out Seattle O for 3.5 quarters and were winning, and when they couldn't stop them, they lost. Wilson will run all over that Pats D-line, just go back and watch the game against the Ravens. If Flacco had beed Wilson, he would have rushed for a 100 yards.
