Vegas Always Wins...yea, maybe they lost a little on GB spread and a bit on the Over but they made a ton on Pit ML, props/parlays/teasers and JUICE. Vegas ALWAYS wins.
This couldn't be further from the truth. In the long run, yes, they make a profit over the course of a year. I can tell you though from personal experience that there are some weekends that the book gets crushed. Think back about 5 years ago. There was a weekend where a larger number than usual of favorites covered. It was capped off by a Monday night game between the Jets and the Falcons. A customer of mine teased the game- both sides and both totals and won the 4 team tease. It took several weeks to come back from one.

Thanks Oakster for doing your research and not talking out of your ass this is along the lines of what I posted earlier.......................
The books were seeing heavy money on Green Bay and over the total of 45.
"It
was a worst-case scenario for us with the Packers and over," Las Vegas
Hilton sports book director Jay Kornegay said. "Going into the game, we
knew exactly what we didn't need, and unfortunately that scenario came
true.
"It's not that bad. We lost a little bit."
MGM Resorts sports book director Jay Rood said parlays linking Green Bay and over the total did the most damage.
"The
combination of that two-team parlay was brutally rough," Rood said. "It
was the worst Super Bowl that I've been a part of. That's an accurate
statement."

Why worry about how Vegas does?...lol You should be more concerned about yourself...if you're a loser or a winner overall since you've been gambling...what happens in one day is really not that significant unless you're a dummy who went all in and lost everything in one day...lol
In the long run Vegas does fine, it's really about all the loser gamblers who indirectly pay the winner gamblers. The gambling establishments have the juice and so they do fine in the long run.
So say for example you're a gambler that overall since you've been gambling has lost 5 grand...well there's another gambler out there that overall has won 5 grand overall and so in a sense you indirectly paid that winner gambler the 5 grand you lost...the big establishments like Vegas don't lose in the long run and so the gamblers who are winners overall get their money indirectly from the losers..

"The combination of the 'over' and the Packers' victory was lethal,"
Rood said. "It's the worst Super Bowl I've seen since being here in
1993. There was no getting around it. Not a great scenario."
No one enjoyed the rollercoaster ride of events as much as Purcell, who
shimmied on the Mirage sports book carpet and was doused in beer after
realizing these winnings: a lucrative parlay of Packers to the over, a
$200 future-book bet made before the season on the 14-to-1 Packers to
win the Super Bowl, a $50 bet that Green Bay's Nick Collins
would intercept a pass that paid $750, and another longshot gamble that
Packers receiver Jordy Nelson would score the game's first touchdown

Nevada gaming authorities are expected to release by Tuesday the final numbers...
It will be interesting to see how much Vegas books "lost" yesterday, i just heard from CNBC said that big Steeler tickets had prevented Vegas from losing. i will trust more on Nevada State Board numbers than book managers.

The FAVORITE wins and the OVER Hits and you ask if Vegas won??
Public won huge $$$$$$$
You gotta be kidding me to think the majority took GB. GB might be the favorite but Pitt was most likely wagered on more. Most of my betting friends took Pitt and most of the vocal members of Covers took Pitt. That's enough of a rough estimate to say that most took Pitt.
And yes, most of you guys on Covers are 'Sharps' so imagine what the 'public/squares' did when they expected Pitt to be the favored and when they saw Pitt getting points they salivated and lined up like sheep.

Do you really still believe all these articles? What do you expect Vegas to say? Imagine if Vegas say we always win, took you money so don't come back and play.
Even if you lost, the illusion after reading this article gives you the belief that the majority won and you will eventually beat the books since most people did. That's is exactly a real gambler's mindset and that's what they want you to belive.
Let me guess, they are also worried for your well-being just like cigarette companies so they promote 1-800-gambler?

Vegas wins or losses don't account for the majority of bets being made either supposedly. Where would you imagine all the pros or so-called pros reside? Yes, they are in Vegas so if anything all these so called 'sharps' would have loaded up on the Pack. That doesn't mean that the majority didn't take the Pitt gift line.

They gave a bone to Joey Public Steelers +3 and everyone bit, hook ,line and sinker. You don't even need to watch the game ......just figure out where the house position is and follow suit. Way too easy
