Wentz upside is ridiculous. Foles is certainly underrated as this season is proving but Wentz could be the premier quarterback in a couple of seasons time.

I told many people last year that the EAgles could have gotten a Kings ransom (at least 3 first round draft picks) for Wentz. They should have done that last offseason. They won a superbowl with Foles why the fuck would you ever change the formula.

The reason went to NDSU is that was the best school who recruited him out of Bismarck.  Not a lot of big schools recruiting kids from schools in ND, with mainly running attacks.

It's amazing how fast people forget. Wentz was having an MVP season before getting hurt. This is his first season back after major knee surgery. Damn near every player other than Adrian Peterson have off years their first year back. Add to that he was playing with a fractured vertebrae in his back. The only frauds are you so called experts talking garbage on Wentz. And for you analytical guys check his stats. For a guy having a bad year they aren't bad. I'm a life long Eagles fan and love what Foles does when he comes in but Carson Wentz is the Eagles future and we Eagles fans are excited. Plus there's a reason Nick Foles is a backup. When he has to play every week he gets exposed.

Last year Wentz had everything at his disposal. A great run game, a great offensive line, a top 3 tight end and some viable receivers. Throw in a great play caller and there’s your recipe for success. Wentz is a little above average imo as as great as some in this thread feel he is, please explain how Foles, when IT COUNTS MOST....SO FAR, has been light years better. The argument here should be who is better Wentz or Foles. The proof is in the pudding folks. It’s Foles and anyone denying that needs to get their eyes checked. Foles went undefeated in the playoffs last year and dominated the Patriots in the super bowl. Thats fact and as good as Wentz had been, he’s now had two injuries which if you ask me, has affected his mindset a bit much given that he’s a guy who likes to move around in the pocket. With Foles being immobile and more of a pocket guy he’s still making the throws. He tore up a pretty good defense last week......I couldn’t agree more with Packersbackers in that in this league, it’s all about what have you done for me lately. I like Wentz but if I had to choose between him and Foles, I’d take Foles. IF and it’s a big IF, Foles can get his team into the playoffs again, who wants to play them? I’m a die hard Bears fan and I can tell you, after what I saw last year, it makes me think a bit! Time will tell.....

I will say that the upside of Wentz, IF he can stay healthy is big. He has a great play caller which benefits him but at this point, again, I’m taking Foles. It would be interesting to see who Dougy goes with if the Eagles get in to the playoffs. If Carson is a go and with Foles doing what he’s done here, it would be very interesting to see who gets the rock in Chicago. I’d lean Foles.

This is unreal that many people are arguing Wentz is obviously much better than Foles. Come back to reality guys.

Let's see Wentz lead his team through the playoffs and beat Patriots in the Super Bowl. And even this year Wentz lost to Dallas twice, couldn't score anything vs New Orleans in a huge blowout, lost to Panthers, Vikings, and Titans.

Foles comes in and instantly beats Rams, one of the elite teams. Then against another great team (and strong defense), Houston, he goes 35/49 for 471 yards, 4 tds, 1 interception and 120.4 QB rating. That's sick!

As far as I'm concerned it's very clear who the better QB is.

As an Eagles fan we should be appreciative that we have both QB. Not trash one over the other. Wentz is clearly the future if he stays healthy. Foles is a good stopgap and could start for several teams. The coaching staff knows how to utilize him to his strengths.

To play devils advocate by saying that the "coaches" would automatically know the better QB because of practice...film.. meetings... ect is not always true..  Lets see did the coaches know Brady was better when he came off the bench due to injury and never went back to the bench.. . "Jaws" got hurt was the starter but after Cunningham replaced him he never started for Philly again..  Steve Young replaced an injured Montana and well Joe never hit the field again as a starter for the 49ers.. Just to name a few..  There are practice players and there are gamers ..  Coaches over history have been WRONG many many  times but injury's  happened and  they found out they had the wrong starter in..  Not saying that is the case here but to say coaches know better is not always right.. By a long shot..  Not a good point.. an_speak

Not for nothing but Deshaun Watson tore his ACL same time as Wentz last season and he already is having a great season and has been taking a beating all season long.  The injury argument isn't as strong as it should be.  I know Wentz is more banged up but still....

My only concern about Carson is that he seems to be injury prone. That hit he took in LA was either the unluckiest shot in the world, or he is fragile, I have seen guys take a ton of hits like that and never get hurt. Now it is his back,

Yeah, and Fitzpatrack was literally being called Fitzmagic to start the year. And yet, somehow, Jame-isthatyourvaginamyhandison- Winston got the job back.

Fitzpatrick and Foles are similar. They're both veterans capable of putting up monster games and monster stretches. There's a reason they bounce around though. They both always seem to adjust to their mean. I'm a diehard Cowboys fan and I would take Wentz any day. Foles, not so much.
