GIANTS Vs. Eagles

The Giants this year remind me of the Bengals last year.  Open up and stay with me. Teams with Similar records and seeding, teams no one is really giving a shot.  Not Many had the Bengals beating KC and making a run last year.  Two young QB's on the rise, gaining confidence and Mojo.  Danny Dimes (Yes we are calling him Danny Dimes again) is not Joe Burrow, BUT his game is starting to look more like Josh Allens....ish

The Coach of the year has done a remarkable job with Danny Dimes and this team.  I think Buffalo misses Daboll, some smart guy said that Josh Allen has 30 interceptions and fumbles this year.  Good Coaches clean that shit up and get the most out of a team and Daboll does all that.  Hurts did not look good in the Playoffs LY and he was benched for Tua in the National Championship game.  Are the lights too bright?  How is his throwing shoulder?

The lights in NY do not seem too bright for Danny Dimes, I have seen him lead some game winning 4th Q drives this season and he looked comfortable in his 1st playoff game...Kind of like Eli who played his best in the 4th Q and playoffs.  

Cincy did have some weapons that the Giants do not .....BUT the Giants have a much better O line and running game that travels well.  I would not be surprised if Daboll leans on the run game this week. 

WR Isiah Hodgins emerged last week and Slayton is capable of making some plays. 

I think the Giants have a chance.

The Giants only beat the Vikings by one score and the Vikings have no defense.

Philly has the best pass rush and is #1 in yards allowed per play.

This one won't be close IMO.

 You slow down a pass rush by running the ball.  The Giants O line has improved.

I read everything you said. No disrespect intended. I would appreciate a little dialogue, so I understand why you are believing NYG win outright. There are so many people around here saying NYG to the Superbowl. You don't seem to be a Giants homer so I will see if we can discuss this candidly. I don't see it. NYG are as pathetic as the Vikings. They just made a couple more plays. What about this team makes you think they can beat both the Eagles and the winner of the Dallas/SF game? Their D is average at best. Their offense is without big plays (for the most part). You really think they can dink and dunk (with Danny Dimes) and get lucky against the big boys? If you do actually believe this, please explain because there is a lot of money to be made on Giant odds to get to the Superbowl I would love to hear it.

 Its the playoffs on the road. Only beat the vikings by 1 score? How much are they suppposed to beat them by?  The bengals only beat ravens by 1 score without Lamar. Bills only beat fins by 3 with 3rd string qb. Not a good argument!

The Giants weren't able to run against the Eagles the last time they played.  Do they run Danny more often this time to open it up?  Giants defense can't stop Eagles offense if Hurts is 100%.  If Giants fall behind can they rely on their passing game?  Maybe they can win but they need to make adjustments.

Saturday night the Linc will be rocking...eagles are healthy ....Lane Johnson coming back...brown and Smith are gonna have big days...Goedert also...Hurts is gonna be throwing and running wild...the eagles all year long were the most complete team in the nfc...the giants don't have enough...eagles will wear them down...31-17

Eagles have a much better rushing attack too. If indeed Lane Johnson, Hurts and Goedert is 100% healthy and ready to make an impact Christ. Could Giants backdoor cover yes 100% but win outright I cannot see it.

Best of luck, that was my thinking at first, but then the realization set in that they played against basically the worse defense in the NFL (I had Gmen moneyline, kind of a no brainer) Philly has one of the best defenses, there's no way they're going to let (average) Daniel Jones do that again, and I just don't think Saquan and the rest can put up enough points, while Philly should hang at least 30. 34-10 type game.

Remember when the 2007 Giants ran the table including knocking off the 16-0 patriots.  They were the 5 seed and went to #1 seed Dallas (who had blown them out twice that same season) and stifled them completely in the divisional round.   Some parallels here. 

2007 giants could pass rush four  people, and get to the quarterback and put pressure fast without the blitz

which was huge, especially when playing the patriots as Brady has never liked a big push up the middle

of course, anything is possible

we have also seen teams like the Giants that should’ve made the playoffs content with winning the first wildcard game, sort of in a let down spot

Right but their defense was much better that year with the likes of Strahan, Tuck and Osi. Their secondary was okay but did force turnovers. Their receivers were Plaxico Burress and Amani Toomer. I will give you that Barkley is better than Jacobs, but in the post-season Manning was clutch and much better pocket passer than as OP put it Danny Dimes. We will see against this stout Eagles D or if they even get past the Eagles the 9ers or Dallas D how much he can run because none of those aforementioned Ds are the Minnesota Vikings.

The 2007 NYG team reminds me of the 2012 Ravens team that just got hot at the right time and rode that wave of momentum through the Superbowl. Both had a good D and a QB that was on fire. This NYG D isn't very good at all and I guess it remains to be seen if Danny Dimes only looks good against the shitty Vikings D or if he is for real. 

This is true the Minnesota defense was epic bad.  Even the hapless NY jets scored 22 and could have scored a lot more.

More concerned with eagles letdown than I am giants letdown.  If you have to choose between eagles -.5 or Giants +17.5 alt lines given the same odds what would you take?

Very good question. Normally the dog 100% of the time. Something else me though Giants get blown out of the water. Philly makes a statement and puts their foot to the Giants throat and never lets up. I am still waiting for health confirmation. Line movement. Stuff of that nature before putting any bet in. BOL on your play.
