Greatest Athlete to play in the NFL

After reading a real dumb post, it got me thinking. Who do you guys think was the best ATHLETE to ever suit up for the NFL? Not like the greatest player ever or whatever. Obviously there’s going to be bias because you only get to see who was playing during a set period of time.  For me, Julius Peppers was the dude..freakish athlete esp during those mid 2000s panthers days

Christian Ponder, again being the best “athlete” doesn’t really translate to having a great nfl career but athletically Ponder did some things on the field that just made me say Wow

Anybody that doesn’t say Bo Jackson is a troll or watches the WNBA. 

bobby bowden said he likes to compare recruits' athleticism to deion's because deion set the bar. he said randy moss was just as athletic but bigger.

Tough to name just one but Miles Garrett and CMC are both freak athletes. Go watch their combine films and that was when they were raw. Honorable mention: The Freak Jevon Kearse

To me, toss up between Bo Jackson and Neon Deon, both two pro stars......

Since for some here the only pre requisite for this is playing two sports then there is really no question who the greatest athlete to ever play in the NFL was….James Francis Thorpe….Was an American athlete and Olympic gold medalist. A member of the Sac and Fox Nation, Thorpe was the first Native American to win a gold medal for the United States in the Olympics. Considered one of the most versatile athletes of modern sports, he won two Olympic gold medals in the 1912 Summer Olympics (one in classic pentathlon and the other in decathlon). He also played football (collegiate and professional), professional baseball, and basketball.
