Heard a lot of Carolina backers' reasoning go to the tune of "they HAVE to win" "panthers DESERVE to win"....

This is the NFL folks. No one deserves to win they just go out and make it happen.

Jags will be motivated by their new QB and commit to the run against a shit

...Panthers D. Cam is due for a letdown.

I'd be on the Jags solely because of the large public $ on one of the worst teams in the NFL. You can say they played the first two games close, but they don't know how to win yet!!!

dont understand why so many people get caught up worrying about which side the public is on. The public wins a lot more often than you think. If your theory about the public side is such a useful tool when evaluating  which side to jump on, then why did the Patriots,Lions, and Steelers cover easily last week; all three were heavily backed by the public last week as big favorites. I'm not touching this game, but i learned not to let which side the public is on effect your decision when choosing a side. GL

Undecided for this match-up, like what everyone has to say. Just some thoughts, If the panthers do go up by two touchdowns (and that's a big if), does jack get away from running the ball and try passing with a rookie QB. Jags on paper seem like a better team because of all the panther injuries. otherwise if healthy i would give the edge to the panthers.
 Looking at the panthers record last year means nothing, they gave up on their lame duck coach, john fox. Has this Jack team given up on their coach? He certainly gives up on his qb's. It worked once, this time its going to bite him in the ass. maybe not this game but taking about the whole year.
My opinion is Jones and Cam will both play small roles with special teams winning this game.

I only look at the number 1 public consensus week to week...yeah I understand the public wins...I dont disagree with that fact, but last year I tracked the NFL and 14 of the 16 weeks  the number 1 public consensus team lost! Anytime the public is on at team 80% or more I would be nervous!

The point I am trying to make is that passing yards are over valued and clearly over hyped which is leading to a major inflation of this line. This year passing yards are off the chart, everyone is racking up yards and just because Cam Newton was so under rated and under respected that he is now blowing up because he well exceeded expectations in weeks one and two.

Passing yards dont win you games. Bottom line is that red zone effeciency and turn over ratio does. So far Cam Newton has a ton of yards, TERRIBLE red zone effeciency and a negitive turn over margin, in turn 0-2 start. Everyone can move the ball between the twenties, that is not what counts, inside the opponents twenty does. He has yet to show me he can. This is still the Carolina Panthers. We are making this team sound so good and have so much promise. They have yet to show anything to prove this. I do not understand what you guys have seen in them. They are still the worst team in the NFL in the past season and two games, and they will finish as one of the worst this season.

No it was not for nothing. Had some bad luck with a couple dropped snaps in the fourth quarter and the Panthers converting the third down for a touchdown with four minutes to play. I felt confident in my play and it covered for 56 minutes and change. Rough finish but that is how it goes. Moving onto Indianapolis tonight.

Vegasjack2, most of us appreciate the hard work you put in,even though Carolina covered. My only issue was all of those that think fading the public is the right play. Thanks again Vegasjack2 and i look forward to seeing your writeups and plays in the future.

It's stupid to compare this Panthers play to the Week 2 Ravens play.
Panthers have home advantage, the Ravens did not.
