They did have an “extra” timeout because of the 2 minute warning. If they went for it on 2nd down etc, it would be gone. however, most coaches would also realize who the QB is in Rodgers and understand they probably should have gone for a TD then an onside
No, the chance of getting an onside is less than 10%. And it is not a guarantee that they get a TD first. They could run 3 more plays and not get anything except time off the clock.
Going for a TD first = 75% chance to get a TD + 50% to get the 2pt conversion + 10% to get an onside + 70% to get a FG = 2.5%
FG first = 95% make FG + 80% to get a 3 and out + 25% to get TD +50% to get 2pt conversion = 10%
And there is very little chance GB throws the ball so it doesn't matter much who the QB is.

@davemsh Great view on that first half. Something was fishy and I grabbed the +8.5
Why fishy? You can look at stats and performance for every team in the 1H only. GB is an 11-3 team, good teams do their damage early more often than not.

Haha so you're saying they had a better chance to get a touchdown from thier further back on the field than going for it from the 15. Nevwr said to go for onside kick but they were at the 15! No matter what happens they are not getting the ball back on the 15 yard line again. They needed a td and that was 99% going to be their best chance. Then make gb go 4 and out and kick a long fg to tie

Don’t think so. This has been their MO the last few games. He comes out, doesn’t god mode 1H. Anything he wants. Comes out 2H and it looks like more than just defensive adjustments.
