Actually the "worst possible matchup for them" was @ Carolina where they are 8-0 at home, yup, only undefeated home team this season as a +10 dawg and won SU by DD. I don't think it can get any worst than that but we'll see.

Forget about the Thanksgiving blowout at the Linc, that was a perfect spot for the Eagles (I had them) This is the 3rd straight on the road in the playoffs for the Birds, and these two couldn't be more different teams than they were in the last matchup. This is a monumental game for the Cards franchise.

So, you're picking the giants this week?

C'mon, the eagles were the better team the last two weeks.  Based on your "one-dimensional offense" theory, looks like another eagles win, since the cards offense is as oine dimensional as they come.

First the mets choke, again, then the giants choke.  It's a great run for the philly faithful, finally.

Yes, PITT had a great D, but the WOW (Wisenhunts Offensive Weapons) are a lot more lethal. I would take James, Hightower, Fitz, Boldin, Warner over BEN as a rookie, Jerome filling in for an injured Deuce, Plaxico and Vernon Hayes anyday.

I don't hate them, but I think the offense is a joke. Same shit every year, get a puny but highly skilled RB to carry 70% of the load on offense, don't bring in a quality WR, same shitty play calling, count on your defense to win the games, head case, controversial ass clown at QB. I'm tired of hearing it. Half of the fuckers in here chanting E-A-G-L-E-S were the same guys less than two months ago calling for Kolb and wanting Fat Andy fired.

I've seen this show before, here comes the championship choke job to a team there is no way they can lose to (remember Tampa Bay not being able to win in the cold at the Linc, St Louis with none other than Kurt Warner, Carolina ?) And those teams were WAY better than the one taking the field Sunday, that's a fact. The only time they managed to get in they had a stud at WR, they don't have that guy now.

I think the way they got into the playoffs was a fraud, I think their last two wins were marginal at best, and I think they go down to the Cardinals in the desert this weekend. It's nothing personal, I'm just not willing to back a team that snuck in the back door. San Diego took the same road, and then got smacked in the mouth. Take all the shots you want at Arizona, but they were already in the postseason when they had their late season swoon, the Birds shit all over themselves when they needed to win at Washington to stay in the race. For Christs sake, they needed Oakland to upset Tampa Bay or we wouldn't even be having this discussion.

Can they win Sunday? Sure. But if they don't come to play on both sides of the ball this weekend, they are going home, again. Sad part is, all the Eagles fans will be left with again are a bunch of what ifs and the same guys at the helm next season. Odds that they kick Dawkins to the curb in the offseason? Off the board, you know they will. I got tired of swallowing the same shit menu they were feeding me, I've moved on.

3rd and long -You keep telling yourself that. Perhaps the Eagles Defense had something to do with it. Pressure tends to make teams and especially QB'S do things they don't normally do. You don't want to be on the wrong side here. The Eagles will win and cover. The fun in the sun ends SUNDAY for the Cards. And saying this is amonumental game for the Cards Franchise- although obvious-it is a joke. Making the play-offs and winning 2 games is already a Super Season- They will be happy to be there! Baby-steps my friend! Always next year!

It took me 6 months of living there to quit listening to those morons in the morning, lucky back then I had Howard Stern, now I dont know what I would do with a morning commute and no selection..ESPN radio stinks, I guess it would be XM because Angelo is a schmuck, and even though I like Howard he is also full of himself..especially when he started selling picks for charity..

Nothing more annoying than hearing this assinine argument over and over by dumb shmucks with half a brain.  What if the raiders beat tampa in week 2 and then their loss in week 17 was to carolina? Then would everyone be talking about how lucky the Eagles were to get into the playoffs? with their 9 wins in the toughest division in football? Funny, that is EXACTLY what the Cardinals are, one dimemsional. Wait til Jim Johnson pins his ears back and let's his boys unleash on fumble-friendly Warner.

I've made my decisions, I'll post my plays when I make them. The back & forth here is a complete waste of time because Eagle backers refuse to acknowledge any of the Birds deficiencies. You're right, the Eagles are fucking awesome and are nothing short of a team of destiny. They will run all over the Cardinals in the desert. They should just cancel the game and award them the Super Bowl while they're at it.
