Well put, I am a 49ers fan but I Have followed Taylor since his soph year at the U and he was my favorite safety and one of my favorite players. It's a shame people on here are bashing him. Good people sometimes make bad choices, You don't have to have a chior boy reputation to be a good person! May God Bless his soul, Sean Taylor R.I.P.
He doesn't care because this is a huge loss to the team and they weren't going to do anything this year anyway. Furthermore and more importantly than that he was a decent human being who although he made some bad choices, he made his share of good ones too, he didn't deserve to lose his life.
Is it the NFL doing this so as not to be accused of making profits off a dead man? I can somewhat understand that position,but I can't understand denying fans a chance to pay tribute to a beloved player. 
I know that this was not Daniel Snyder's idea as he would do anything as long as a profit could be made.

Portis is very classy...saw him at the DC ESPN zone a couple of years ago(with a hottie)...when he was leaving my wife was also going outside and he held the door open for her. Nice move.
