top 5 in the nfl right now cause there could be 2 on that list that maybe unavailiable or in some people opinion over the hill.
1.brady any person who thinks peyton mannning is a better qb is a fool brady hasnt had top line offensive talaent since last year. winning superbowl with bottom level talent at widereceiver
2. manning(peyton) for al u guys that put eli on your list .....seriously move out of new york you will get a better perspective. peyton has always been surrounded by offensive talent.
3. palmer has good offense around him always solid great passer really puts it on the numbers all the time
4.brett favre anytime brett steps on the field in the next 2 years he can still make play. his arm strength still there his ability to play still there. 1 game away from superbowl last year
5.michael vick alot of people hate michael vick but seriously he killed or had some dogs killed. because of over population animals are put to death everyday in animal shelters across the nation. The gambling aspect of this is what is going to get him in trouble with nfl but he is still a top 5 qb and when he gets out of prison any team will sign him in a heartbeat
MICHAEL VICK
Thanks dude! That's some of the funniest shit in this thread. Great athlete. Average at best quarterback. I laughed my ass off when they let go of Schuab. I knew they would rue the day. He's better than Vick ever was. And because Vick was such a celebrated ATHLETE, they kept in the starting lineup. That dude said it best when he called Vick a "coach killer". Yeah the dude could run like a gazelle, but he lacked so many other needed skills to be a winning qb. I've already said it and I'll say it again: No team with him at QB will ever win anything. The only way he'll win a Super Bowl (if he can find employment later) is if his defense and running game are both far superior than anything in the league. And I'll lay big money that that never happens. The odds are it wont. And even then the coach will have to be smart enough to limit his throws. The dude just doesn't have the grey matter to achieve at that level.
Were you serious about listing Vick? C'mon dude...
Besides... him and his brother are simply a lower form of life.

Thanks for your input but I cant agree with Anderson and Campell. Anderson needs to prove that he's not a fluke and that takes a few more games (more than 21), and Campbell's numbers are average at best after only having played 20 games.

Whoops! This was supposed to go with this.....

I noticed that too.

Something else to ponder. Romo sat the bench for a while, but what if Bledsoe had done just enough to keep the job and hadn't got hurt. Where would Brady be now? There are many stories like that. Just because Romo sat the bench doesn't mean he was terrible. How does a Willie Parker never start in college at NC? How does James Harrison sit the bench for four years and then make the Pro Bowl after his first year as a starter? If you dont get the opportunity and the right breaks, you cant succeed.
Excellent point Steel...
And with that we could even start another list.....guys who were backups and flourished when given the opportunity. Some pretty big names would be on that list...
Favre, Brady, Romo, Delhomme, Bulger, Garrard...
And that's not to say that ALL of these guys have been GREAT, but they have all had their share of success.

If I was a coach, GM, owner, or whatever; these are the QB's I would take over McNabb to start the 2008 season...
Brady, P. Manning, Romo, Roethlisberger, Palmer, Brees, Anderson, Garrard, Rivers, Cutler, Hasselbeck, Bulger, V. Young, Favre, E. Manning...
That's 15...
